Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop, a blog hop for recipes using healthy ingredients, family and comfort food recipes, articles about healthy living, real, local and sustainable food, foraging, herbal remedies, organics and gardening. As much as possible, recipes should be homemade from scratch.
It’s been a seriously busy few weeks and I sometimes feel like I just can’t keep up – but there’s so many things I want to do! I’ve been exploring the concept of Taking Time Out and finding that it’s not only good for the soul but increases my productivity and helps me get more things ticked off the ‘to do’ list too. I also developed a super easy Crab Linguini recipe that’s deliciously satisfying on busy nights. In addition, please don’t forget that I share lots of posts about our frequent travels on the site so please do be sure to check them out, whether you are planning a holiday or armchair travelling.
There were some gorgeous cakes shared at The Hearth and Soul Hop last week. I know cakes are a treat but when they are made with wholesome ingredients they really can be good for both body and soul. Also I made two cakes over the weekend and published a feature about Cakes That Go Well With Coffee today – so cakes are definitely at the forefront of my mind. Hence, I’m featuring some of the wholesome cakes shared with us at last week’s hop.
Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting from Yesterfood
Gluten Free Lemon Drizzle Cake from Gluten Free SCD and Veggie
Gluten Free Chocolate Cake from Frugal Farm Wife
Raw Chocolate Orange Cake from Organic Talks
Gluten Free Cadbury Egg Coconut Cupcakes from A Life in Balance
Strawberry Banana Bread from Mamal Diane
