Cool Summer Treats from The Hearth and Soul Hop

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party for July 18th through Saturday the 23rd. Join us with family-friendly posts as well as, of course, recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul. This week I’m featuring cool summer treats but first, here’s some of what’s been happening on the blog.

We are finally getting a bit of summer weather here in the UK so I’m making lots of iced tea and old fashioned lemonade as well as a few cooling cocktails. One of the key ingredients in these drinks is Simple Syrup, also known as Sugar Syrup. Don’t miss this great short cut Simple Syrup recipe and how to video.

A quick and easy way to make Simple Syrup, also known as Sugar Syrup

I also shared a super easy Cherry Loaf Cake Recipe.

Moist, tender and delicious, this Cherry Loaf Cake Recipe is incredibly easy to make.

Studded with fresh, ripe cherries, this is one of my favourite summer cakes.

Okay – on with the Hop! Please can you help me achieve my goal of 100 posts shared with the hop every week by September?  I really appreciate all of last weeks tweets and shares! We had 72 links last week. Let’s see if we can increase it again this week – if everyone shares one more post, or introduces just one new person to the hop, we’ll be there!

Remember both old and new posts are welcome, and you can share up to three posts every week.
