Fall Entertaining from The Hearth and Soul Link Party

Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week I’m thinking about all those affected by the hurricanes, and praying that you all are safe.  Looking forward to brighter days, I’m featuring posts about Fall Entertaining from last week’s party.

The Hearth and Soul Link Party where we welcome posts about anything that feeds your soul
At The Hearth and Soul Link Party, posts about anything that feeds your soul are welcome – from family, home, decorating, crafts and DIY to travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement. And of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul is a real favourite here too!

I’m publishing the party a bit early this week, as after work today my husband and I are heading off on a mid-week break to one of my favourite cities in the whole world.

Seeing Venice by Gondola on AprilJHarris.com

Explore Venice by Gondola with me, and check out the beautiful hotel where we are staying. I’ll be sharing even more about this iconic Italian city in future posts too.

Last week I shared our experience at a very special, private, after hours tour of one of England’s most beautiful Elizabethan castles.

Visiting Burghley House, a beautiful non-royal castle in Lincolnshire, England

Join my husband and I as we tour Burghley House in Lincolnshire. We were allowed to take photographs inside the house as well, so you really can join in!

Fancy a fall treat?

My Sweet Potato Bread recipe is so delicious, it may just be addictive! Frankly, even with my healthy eating resolutions, I'm finding it very hard to resist this tasty recipe.

Wholesome sweet potato, juicy raisins, crunchy pecans and warming spices combine to make my Sweet Potato Bread the perfect fall treat. Sweet potato may sound like an unusual ingredient, but I promise you won’t be able to resist this deliciously spiced, cut and come again loaf. It’s a good thing the recipe makes 2 loaves!
