Fall Gardening from The Hearth and Soul Hop

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Hello and welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party. This week I’m featuring fall gardening, a garden DIY idea and a delicious recipe – but more about that in a moment.

Fall has really arrived here in the UK. The sun is setting earlier and the days are getting much cooler. It’s the perfect time of year for vintage comfort food recipes, like these Old-Fashioned Applesauce Pecan Brownies.

Applesauce Pecan Brownies

You can’t taste the applesauce in my Applesauce Pecan Brownies, but it adds a gorgeous flavour and texture to these rich, buttery, chocolatey brownies. You definitely need these brownies in your life.

I’m off to BlogHer Food ’16 in Austin in a couple week’s time. Anyone else going? I’m excited to attend the BlogHer Food conference once again (last time I attended was Seattle in 2012) and also for my very first visit to Texas!

If you fancy a little armchair travelling, join me on a virtual visit to the beautiful Emerald Isle.

A Day in Dublin at The Hearth and Soul Hop

I shared the quaint seaside town of Kinsale recently, and my latest travel post features A Day in Dublin, with lots of ideas for things to see and do.

  9. Hi Apri,
lThanks for the party. Joining after a very long time. I was away, even dd not post new recipes on my blog.

  10. Thanks for hosting the fun and happy fall April!!

  11. Thanks so much for the party dear April. My apologies for my absence of late. With 1st wedding anniversary celebrations, the children’s 2 week school holidays and a lot of business, I just haven’t got around to linking up to all my favourite parties. We’re happy to be welcoming Spring, not that our winter is all that cold. I think, even on our warmest winter days, the temps are still warmer than a summer’s day in the UK. Give it a couple more weeks and I’ll be complaining about the heat! Have a fantastic weekend!

    • It’s a pleasure, Anne. Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! It’s lovely to ‘see’ you back at the party. I’m glad Spring is arriving in your corner of the world. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend too 🙂 xx
