Getting Ready for Thanksgiving with Hearth and Soul

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party where we are getting ready for Thanksgiving! Although I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving in October, I’m looking forward to celebrating US Thanksgiving with American friends in a couple week’s time. I have a lot to be thankful for so it’s lovely to have two occasions to celebrate! This week I’m featuring posts that will inspire you and help with getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Here at Hearth and Soul we love recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul, but we also welcome all family friendly posts, whether they be about home, family, travel, self improvement, crafts or DIY.

The party is on from now until Saturday evening, both old and new posts are welcome, and you can share up to 3 posts every week. There are no  strict rules, but we would love it if you would follow your hosts and/or link back in your post. But first, here’s a bit of what’s been happening here on

Autumn is in full swing here in the UK and we are enjoying the bounty of the season.

Crock Pot Apple and Pear Sauce - Fall Ideas at Hearth and Soul

I’m making lots of Crock Pot Apple and Pear Sauce – once you try making apple sauce like this you’ll never want to make it on the stovetop again! This apple and pear sauce is perfect for eating just as it is, but I also use it in lots of recipes.

Apple Pear and Pecan Streusel Muffins on

One of our favourites is these healthier, tastier Apple Pear and Pecan Streusel Muffins, perfect for breakfast, lunch boxes, afternoon tea and snacks.

If the shorter days are a bit too much for you at the moment, and you crave some time away, join me on an armchair visit to my favourite Venice hotel.

I always feel like a princess when I stay at The Hotel Danieli!
