Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party December 14

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop link party! We are a ‘no rules’ link party and welcome any family friendly posts as well as, of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul.

It really is a fun time of year round here. Last week both my husband and son had a day off so we all went to the beautiful, historic city of Bath.

Visiting Bath and The Bath Christmas Market on AprilJHarris.com

We visited the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the wonderful Bath Christmas Market. Find out more about our adventures in this post!

Last week I also shared a foolproof holiday side, My Best Roast Potatoes.

The Christmas celebrations are really getting underway. We host a cocktail party every year for about 50 to 60 friends and neighbours and it’s coming up this week! Let’s just say that my ‘to do’ list has a ‘to do’ list!!

I’ll definitely be making some of my Easy Holiday Appetizers, that is for sure!

  15. Hi April. Thanks for the party. Sorry I haven’t been around these last couple of weeks. I lost my dear mother-in-law and her funeral was yesterday. It’s been a sad time but it’s back into it. I know she wouldn’t want us sitting around sad. Hope you’re Christmas preparations are coming along nicely.

    Anne xx

    • Hi Anne, I was sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I’ve been thinking of you and your family. We lost my mother-in-law this time last year, and both my parents passed away around the Christmas period 8 years ago – it makes it very hard when everyone is celebrating and you are feeling sad. I hope you and yours will have some joy this Christmas. It’s lovely to see you back at Hearth and Soul.

  16. April, thanks for featuring my Mincemeat. Now this week I’ve posted my Mince Pies. I’ve made so many of them, they are finally “growing on” my husband. He actually asked if we had any more!
