Hearth and Soul Hop Linky Party January 25

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Hop Linky Party for January 25th! We are a ‘no-rules’ link party and we welcome all family friendly posts as well as, of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul.

I have never known a January to fly by so quickly. I’ve been busy in the kitchen developing recipes for the blog, working hard on my cookbook and decluttering, and suddenly I’ve looked up and realised it is nearly the end of January! Good grief!

I shared a really lovely twist on a traditional British teatime treat this week – Raspberry Bakewell Tart Squares. These easy to make squares keep really well and are the perfect cut and come again snack to have on hand at this busy time of year. They also make a lovely Valentine’s Day dessert!

  1. Oh my April, I think I could plan an entire romantic dinner for my Sweetie just from your Date Night and Valentine’s Day recipes! So many lovely dishes to try! Thank you for sharing!

For this week’s Hearth and Soul Hop I am sharing two wonderful winter comfort food recipes, Old Fashioned Veggie Soup and Crockpot Sticky Beef Ribs. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful party and have a fantastic week!

  2. Oh my, all those GF treats look delicious! Thanks for sharing and hosting April!

  3. I’m all about date night with Mr. GFE an Valentine’s Day treat for all my sweethearts (hubby, son, and other loved ones). Your meal ideas are fantastic and those tart squares look exceptional, April!

I so appreciate the highlight of my Valentine’s Day roundup. I was remiss when I popped in last week and forgot to leave a comment. 🙁 This week I’m sharing a little meme on gluten-free advocacy and my Triple Chocolate Double Bacon Fudge. If the latter is not ideal for Valentine’s Day, I don’t know what is. There’s even a really good vegan bacon option. 🙂

    Thanks for hosting, April!

    • Thank you so much, Shirley! It’s a pleasure to highlight your post – it really is a great resource! I’ll be interested to visit your posts – I’m very intrigued by the Triple Chocolate Double Bacon Fudge (and especially the vegan option!). Have a lovely week 🙂

  4. Thanks for reminding me about Valentine’s Day. Not sure what we are going to do. Thanks for the ideas and the party.

    • It’s a pleasure, Diane! I’m not sure what we are going to do either as we are staying with friends on the Saturday night. I think I’ll cook a special meal in the evening on Sunday when we get home. Now I just have to decide which recipe to choose! Thank you for visiting and sharing. Have a lovely week 🙂

  5. I know what you mean, I can’t believe it’s the last week of January!

  6. Date night is so much fun and you have some fantastic ideas. I am sharing with you this evening my Baked Steak and Potatoes, all that comfort in one baking dish. Then to kick up the health a little bit a great southern salad with collards and mustard greens. Hope you have a lovely week and thanks so much for the party.
