The Hearth and Soul Hop December 29

The Hearth and Soul Hop
Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop, the blog hop for family and comfort food recipes, healthy, sustainable living posts, homemaking, gardening, family, kids, crafts and DIY. Encouraging and inspiring posts are very welcome too.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Thank you so much to everyone who left such kind messages in the comments at last week’s hop. It meant so much to my family and I. My mother in law’s funeral is not until January 9th so it feels a long way away. In the meantime, we are carrying on as she would want us to. There are some joyful celebrations this week which I am very much looking forward to.

You may notice the hop has gone up a bit early today. We are travelling to Surrey for a birthday celebration this evening. It’s my sister in law’s 50th birthday tomorrow and my nephew’s 25th birthday today so they are having a joint party. Then on Tuesday my husband and I are attending the wedding of a dear friend. Of course it’s the start of a fabulous New Year at midnight Wednesday and then Sunday is our son’s 22nd birthday. Are you entertaining for New Year’s Eve? I’ve got some great tips for Holiday Entertaining Without Stress if you are!

Today I’m featuring:

The Hearth and Soul Hop
The Feast of the Seven Fishes from Diane of Simple Living and Eating. Diane shares her family Christmas feast – along with all the recipes – in this lovely post.

The Hearth and Soul Hop
Sweet & Salty Bark and Chocolate Cookie Bark from La cuisine d’Hélène. Hélène’s two delicious recipes are perfect for entertaining and would make great hostess gifts as well.

Thank you again to everyone who shared posts last week!
