The Hearth and Soul Hop February 2

The Hearth and Soul Hop
Welcome to the February 2nd edition of The Hearth and Soul Hop, the blog hop for all things home and family – family and comfort food recipes, healthy, sustainable living posts, homemaking, gardening, kids, crafts and DIY. Encouraging and inspiring posts are very welcome too.

I honestly can’t believe how fast January flew by! Am I the only one who feels that way? It just seems to have disappeared!

Last week I posted the first in my new series of Meatless Monday posts. This week I’m sharing how skipping meat even once a week can help your family’s budget along with a deliciously Easy Vegetarian Quiche Recipe.

Quick and Easy Vegetarian Quiche

I also wrote what might be a slightly controversial post about Being A Housewife in the 21st Century. Please let me know what you think – whether you are a housewife or not I’d love to know your views!

Today I’m featuring three posts from last week’s hop:-

Gluten Free Sandwich Rolls

These tasty-looking Sandwich Buns from Louanne’s Kitchen are gluten free and low carb.

Onion Dip from Scratch
You don’t need a packet to make this delicious from scratch Onion Dip from With a Blast.

And I loved the helpful parenting tips in 7 Ways to Build Your Child’s Self Esteem from new to me blog The Golden Rule Kids.

Thank you so much to everyone who visited and shared posts last week! Please continue to share the hop with your blogging friends to help us grow!

  3. Thank you for the feature and the party, April !

  4. Time has been moving very slowing here in NY. My kids haven’t had a full week of school in a few weeks. We had a blizzard last week and a Ice/snow storm last night. It was crepe day so we made lots of crepes. Thank you for the party.

    • I’ve heard some of the news about the heavy weather in New York State, Diane, but it sounds like your area is really getting hit. I mean, I love snow days, but I think there’s probably a limit when you have that many 🙂 Glad you are making the best of it – crepes sound like a lovely idea!

  5. Thanks for the party and YIKES! I didn’t really realize it was February until I saw your post title. 2015 is already running away from me! Best wishes for tasty dishes this week.

  6. April,
Thanks for the party. Hope you’re having a great week.

  7. I’m with you, April — I can’t believe January is already over! Time is running away… 🙂

  8. Thank you April for hosting another great party!!

  11. Thanks for hosting! I’m sharing my mini frittatas—A quick and easy meal for any time of day and a great use up for leftovers. I hope you’ll visit my new Corn-free Everyday link party also.

    • I love mini things – and your mini frittatas sound delicious! I look forward to visiting your post – and I will add your linky to my blog plan for next week. I had no idea so many things contained corn!

  12. Thanks for hosting April. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

  13. Just wanted to say thank-you for picking The Golden Rule Kids as a feature this week!

  14. Thanks for the party, April!
