The Hearth and Soul Hop
Welcome to the February 16th edition of The Hearth and Soul Hop Linky, the linky party for all things home and family – family and comfort food recipes, healthy, sustainable living posts, homemaking, gardening, kids, crafts and DIY. Encouraging and inspiring posts are very welcome too.

Red Roses for Valentine's Day

I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day weekend. Both my husband and son had the day off on Friday so we enjoyed a lovely family lunch at our favourite local Italian restaurant, Nino’s Trattoria Italiana. Then on Saturday my husband and I visited mimi spa for some pampering and essential maintenance. Sunday was a family day and included lots of relaxing and a lovely long walk as well as roast chicken and apple pie for supper.

Valentines Day Desserts
Speaking of Valentine’s Day, last week I blogged about some Last Minute Valentine’s Day Desserts – but actually they are great desserts for anytime – St Clement’s Custard or Easy Fruit Brûlée anyone?

Today I’m featuring three foodie posts:-

Beef Pot Pies by YesterfoodCute and comforting Beef Pot Pies from Joy at Yesterfood

Mango Shrimp SaladA refreshing Shrimp Salad with Tarragon, Mango and Grape from Diane at Simple Living and Eating

Island Shrimp Salsaand another shrimp recipe – Island Shrimp Salsa from Jan at Frugal in Florida.

Thank you so much to all of you for visiting and sharing last week! On with the party!
