Lemony Recipes from The Hearth and Soul Blog Hop

The Hearth and Soul Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the Hearth and Soul Blog Hop, the blog hop for recipes using healthy ingredients, family and comfort food recipes, articles about healthy living, real /slow/ local/sustainable food, foraging, herbal remedies, organics and gardening. As much as possible, recipes should be homemade from scratch.

Spring is slowly making its way to England. I found these early blooming daffodils in my garden last week.

Early blooming daffodils

This week on blog I’ve been sharing Easy Low Cost Decorating Ideas for Spring as well as tips to help you Keep The Romance of Valentine’s Day in Your Marriage All Year.

There’s also a wonderful Giveaway for UK readers sponsored by Hay House in celebration of  the upcoming Ignite! conference in London. (I’m sorry it is only open to readers from the UK.)

Today I’m featuring recipes with lemon from last week’s hop.

  1. Thank you, April! I love your daffodils! ♥

  2. Hi April,
I have some spring bulbs starting to bloom, it is so exciting to know that Spring is almost here after the horrible winter we have had. You’ al have had that river running to full, that looks scarey. Hope you are having a great day and thanks so much for the party!

    • It really is nice to know spring is on its way, Miz Helen. The rivers are still high here but the flooding seems to be easing off as the weather improves. Thank you so much for visiting and have a lovely week 🙂

  3. Hi April,
The lemon recipes sound wonderful and so springy!
This week I am sharing my recipe for Italian Sausage and Cauliflower Casserole. This is a gluten free recipe and it can also be made with pasta in place of the cauliflower. It is a much healthier casserole than many other recipes that you see because it doesn’t have a lot of cheese or packaged ingredients in it.
    Thank you for hosting!

  4. I love all the lemon recipes! I’m jealous of your daffodils. We have a month or so before we have any blooms. Mine are just peeking out of the dirt.

  5. We are on the same wavelength. I brought a collection of recipes to make with perserved lemons. Thanks for the party April.

  6. I love lemon too April…I am making a batch of preserved lemons today as a first attempt! Thanks for featuring my muffins!

    • My pleasure, Tessa! I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with the your preserved lemons. I’ve never tried making them but I’ve eaten them and they are so good!

  7. Mmmm… I suddenly have a craving for all things lemon! 🙂

Are the very drugs we are taking to combat mental illness actually making us sick? This is one of the questions asked in the book “Anatomy of an Epidemic” … and I discuss the book.

Have a wonderful week, and enjoy your daffodils! 🙂

  8. Hi April,

I love lemons too! 🙂 Thank you for hosting and have a great week! 🙂

  9. Hi, April. I’ve noticed on my evening walks that more and more green is popping from the ground as well as more and more blooms. I love this time of year.

Thank you for the party. I haven’t posted a recipe in about a month…I’m happy to be cooking again.

  10. I wish I had a green thumb like you. So far I haven’t killed the cactus, but it could be just a matter of time. Thanks for hosting.
