More Fall Ideas from The Hearth and Soul Link Party

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to the weekly Hearth and Soul Link Party featuring even more fall ideas! I adore this wonderful season – it really is my favourite time of the year. It’s a beautiful fall in England this year, with warmer than usual temperatures and some gorgeous colours.

It’s definitely a busy time of year, especially now I’ve started getting ready for all the entertaining to come! Last week I shared one of my favourite appetizer recipes.

My Shrimp and Crab Appetizer Salad is absolutely delicious – and it couldn’t be easier to make.

And don’t miss my favourite apple sauce recipe ever!

Crock Pot Apple and Pear Sauce - Fall Ideas at Hearth and Soul

My Crock Pot Apple and Pear Sauce is the best apple sauce I’ve ever made or eaten – and it makes your house smell amazing while it’s cooking.

Plus, if you are thinking of taking a trip to Venice – or just fancy an armchair visit – be sure to check out my post on Exploring Venice by Gondola.

  1. April, though I don’t personally care for seafood just now (a taste that comes and goes with me), shrimp and crab are always the most popular appetizers at any party, so the smart hostess will put aside her own personal preferences! 🙂 I once had lunch with the head of an entertaining “empire” who said even the very wealthy people they frequently entertain just go into a “Free Shrimp!” frenzy when the shrimp come out! 😀

    • It’s funny how our tastes come and go, Jean. I do love shrimp – and I have witnessed the shrimp frenzies you describe! Thank you for sharing with us at Hearth and Soul!

  2. So many fantastic ideas! thank you the features and for hosting!

  5. I’ll take that seafood salad for sure and your applesauce made with both apples and pears looks great, too. But I’ll dream about Venice first. 😉 Thanks for sharing all this goodness, April!

As far as the fall features, I’m always amazed at folks who can decorate cookies so perfectly!

I’ve linked up a mix of things this week–a wellness book review, my best ever pumpkin pie, and honey pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

Thanks for hosting and have a great week, April! Happy Halloween!

  6. Thanks so much for hosting each week – I always enjoy seeing what everyone is up to. That roasted butternut, apple ad onion dish looks amazing!

  7. Love all the ideas. I can’t wait for some Fall cooking. It’s still in the 80s here but Fall is coming. Thanks for the link-up April.
