I’m getting excited about next weekend, when my husband and I are attending the Royals Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally at historic Burghley House. Burghley is considered England’s greatest Elizabethan house and I can’t wait to share it with you! I’m particularly looking forward to the evening reception being held there on Friday night.

We are having some very hot weather here in the UK at the moment. It’s the perfect weather for easy seasonal eating and entertaining – and for my Easy Fruit Brûlée!

A healthier take on Crème Brûlée, my Easy Fruit Brûlée features fresh seasonal fruit, crunchy Amaretti biscuits, and a tempting topping that can be made much lower in fat and calories with low fat crème fraîche or sour cream.

And very much looking forward to details of your visit to Burghley House…Believe I read about when I was studying QE1’s life…BTW Don’t know if a sentence or two got knocked off( “held on Friday night and on to…”) Perhaps it’s my computer <3

  12. I’ve linked up a mix of recipes this week–a favorite main dish that is ideal for summer, a wonderful beverage that also serves as a cocktail and dessert, and a special cake (shown as gf, but can be made with “regular” products for those who don’t need to eat gf). 🙂

    Love your fruit brulee, April! Now to find the right gf cookie to use in it. 😉

  15. Hello April! I am so excited to see summer is in full bloom at this week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party with so many wonderful new goodies already shared. This week, I brought by one of our favorite grilled dishes, Sweet ‘n Tangy BBQ Salmon which is so easy to make and a great way to change things up from the traditional barbecue fare! Have a lovely week and as always, a huge thank you for all you do for so many of us.

  19. It is a HOT summer here 116 the other day, we dont usually get that hot. Hopefully soon it will drop, even to 105 is more tolerable. Thanks for hosting!!
