I’m getting excited about next weekend, when my husband and I are attending the Royals Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally at historic Burghley House. Burghley is considered England’s greatest Elizabethan house and I can’t wait to share it with you! I’m particularly looking forward to the evening reception being held there on Friday night.

We are having some very hot weather here in the UK at the moment. It’s the perfect weather for easy seasonal eating and entertaining – and for my Easy Fruit Brûlée!

Fruit Brûlée, a quick, easy, healthier dessert the whole family will love

A healthier take on Crème Brûlée, my Easy Fruit Brûlée features fresh seasonal fruit, crunchy Amaretti biscuits, and a tempting topping that can be made much lower in fat and calories with low fat crème fraîche or sour cream.

  9. Yet another elegant party, April. Tweeting – of course. And very much looking forward to details of your visit to Burghley House…Believe I read about when I was studying QE1’s life…BTW Don’t know if a sentence or two got knocked off( “held on Friday night and on to…”) Perhaps it’s my computer <3

    • Thank you so much, Kim, and thank you for sharing too. Burghley House would likely have featured in studies about QE1 – it was the house of her treasurer, I believe. Thank you for the heads up – I will check the post. I may well have made a typo – sometimes my brain works faster than my fingers (or maybe it’s the other way round!!) Have a lovely week <3

  10. Thank you for hosting. I look forward to your party. Enjoy your week!

  11. Thank for hosting another great party – this week’s features have made me hungry!

  12. I’ve linked up a mix of recipes this week–a favorite main dish that is ideal for summer, a wonderful beverage that also serves as a cocktail and dessert, and a special cake (shown as gf, but can be made with “regular” products for those who don’t need to eat gf). 🙂

Love your fruit brulee, April! Now to find the right gf cookie to use in it. 😉

    Thanks so much for hosting!
    Shirley

    • Ooh, everything sounds lovely, Shirley! I look forward to visiting! I’d love to know what cookie you do use in the fruit brûlée, Shirley – it would be great to provide a gluten free option (with a link back to you of course!) 🙂

  13. April, I find summer menus to be so challenging, so thanks for fresh ideas.

  14. Thanks for another great party, April! Have a wonderful week.

  15. Hello April! I am so excited to see summer is in full bloom at this week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party with so many wonderful new goodies already shared. This week, I brought by one of our favorite grilled dishes, Sweet ‘n Tangy BBQ Salmon which is so easy to make and a great way to change things up from the traditional barbecue fare! Have a lovely week and as always, a huge thank you for all you do for so many of us.

    • Thank you so much, Linda! I’m really excited about your recipe as I eat a lot of salmon but have never thought of barbecuing it before. Thank you so much for your support of Hearth and Soul, and of my blog. Hope your week is wonderful too!

  16. Thanks for hosting April – I hope you are having an amazing week!
I am getting over a bad bug but finally having the chance to do a little catch up at your wonderful party! 🙂
