Summer Fun from The Hearth and Soul Hop

The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party for July 11 through 16. This week I’m featuring posts about summer fun! We invite you to share all family-friendly posts as well as, of course, recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul. Thank you to everyone who visited and shared last week.

Please can you help me achieve my Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party goal of 100 posts shared with the hop every week by September? Please tell your blogging friends about us! Remember both old and new posts are welcome, and you can share up to three posts every week.

Since last week I have shared a post about my adventures exploring the port of Jaffa. It is just a short walk down the beach from Tel Aviv in Israel.

Visiting Jaffa The Gateway to the Ancient World

With a rich history, including locations from the Bible, Jaffa is truly one of the most amazing places I have ever visited.

I also shared a recipe for a delicious easy quick bread enriched with the goodness of bran.

  1. Thanks so very much for the feature, April! I love a good chocolate milkshake and this healthier version with cherries makes me so happy. 🙂

This week I’ve linked up my new flatbread recipe (so simple yet such satisfying bread) and one of my favorite shortcuts of all time, How to Make Almond Milk in Less than 3 Minutes. 🙂

Love reading your Jaffa post and seeing the wonderful photos! Have a great week!
    Shirley

    • It’s a pleasure, Shirley! Your recipes for this week sound great – I look forward to visiting them. So pleased you enjoyed the Jaffa post! Hope you have a great week too 🙂

  2. Good evening April and thanks for the party 🙂
I will tweet it so people can see the party and will check this awesome bread in a few minutes

  3. Hi April,
Your Banana Nut Bread looks so good, I just made a Banana Pudding that I can’t wait to dive in. I would love to be a little bird tagging along with you on some of your amazing adventures. Thanks so much for the party and have a lovely week!
    Miz Helen

    • Thank you so much, Miz Helen. I’m excited to see your Banana Pudding as pudding is one of my favourite desserts. We don’t get it very often over here in the UK so I’m always on the lookout for new recipes so I can make it myself 🙂 Wishing you a lovely week too!

  4. April,
Jaffa looks like a beautiful place to visit! Thanks for hosting, love seeing where you travel!

  5. I was delighted to go back and re read your Jaffa post! Thanks so much for hosting another great party!

  6. Mmmm…Banana bread. Sounds good….but I love the diversity of food and experience you share on your blog. One minute bread the next going to Jaffa! That is a trip. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the party. Here’s to 100. Best wishes for tasty dishes wherever you are!

  7. I hope you have a great week, thanks for the party! I will definitely share!

  8. Thank you so much for featuring my post! You are so kind. And, I love to read your blog — you have terrific recipes and do such fun activities!

  9. Thanks April. Love that picture of Jaffa. Never heard of it. Yes, I printed out the banana bread recipe. Can’t wait to try it.

  10. Thank you for hosting, April. Have a lovely day!

  11. April, your banana bread looks perfect. I haven’t managed to make banana bread in such a long time because every time I buy bananas, I eat them all before they’ve had a chance to over-ripen!

  12. Hello April! I love all the featured topics this week at The Hearth and Soul Hop, but you know I am especially thrilled about the Jaffa post! Our daughter recently sent me a photo eating shakshouka while in Jaffa while leading another trip to Israel for college students. I was so jealous! This week I brought you my latest sweet treat-Blueberry Oat Bread (which would be wonderful to serve with your beautiful Banana Nut Bread). I also brought a wonderful summer dish, Grilled Middle Eastern Lamb Burgers with Tzatziki. As always, I so appreciate you and Swathi’s hard work as well as for your kind support. Have a wonderful weekend my friend!

    • Thank you so much, Linda 🙂 I adore Jaffa and I’m so glad your daughter got to enjoy the shakshouka there! Your recipes sound so delicious – I look forward to visiting them. Thank you so much for all your support as well. Wishing you a wonderful weekend too my friend!
