Tasty Salads from The Hearth and Soul Hop

The Hearth and Soul Blog Hop
A warm welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop, a blog hop for recipes using healthy ingredients, family and comfort food recipes, articles about healthy living, real, local and sustainable food, foraging, herbal remedies, organics and gardening. As much as possible, recipes should be homemade from scratch.

I apologise for the lack of new posts on The 21st Century Housewife recently. There seems to be so much going on at the moment. We just returned from California yesterday and in only five days time we are heading to Israel. Those five days are going to be pretty full ones. I’ve got so much to catch up on and we’ll be up in London for part of the time celebrating my birthday. London is my favourite city in the whole world and I’m so grateful to be able to spend my special day there. We’ll be visiting some of my favourite shops, sights and restaurants.

I’m also working on some exciting new developments for The 21st Century Housewife website. It’s too early to share any details but there are some very cool things coming up in the (hopefully) not too distant future!

Anyway, there were some lovely recipes and posts shared last week. Today I’m featuring some tasty salad and dressing recipes that are perfect for summer!

  3. Hi April,
I have been keeping up with your travels at Face Book and you have been a very busy lady, but looks like you and your husband are having a lot of fun! Enjoy being home for awhile and thanks so much for the party.

  4. You are certainly a globe hopper these days. I hope you are enjoying all your trips. I have Israel on my bucket list for a long time… enjoy your time with your husband and thanks for featuring my salad.

  5. How sweet of you to feature me! Thank you. Have a great week!

  6. It has been a loooong time since I shared a recipe here, April! Thanks so much for hosting and a happy, happy birthday to you! 🙂

Sharing our latest muffin: Strawberry Sourdough! Enjoy!

  7. I’m fashionably late, so happy to be here! I hope you get a chance to come by later this evening to Wonderful Wednesdays blog hop at http://www.puregracefarms and link up one of your fabulous recipes. It is my first time co-hosting and I am beyond excited!

  9. April,
I’ve been busy too. Just glad I had a new post to share. Thanks for hosting.

  10. Thanks for hosting this, and Happy Birthday! 🙂
This week I’ve shared another ice cream recipe — it’s summertime! Actually the ice cream part is entirely optional… it’s Apple Rhubarb Sauce with Vanilla Ice Cream. 🙂

    • Thank you, Christine! I love rhubarb so I’m looking forward to visiting your sauce recipe – and the vanilla ice cream part sounds lovely too 🙂

  11. You sure get around April. You’re a regular globe trotter. I don’t know London very well. I was there for a few days but it’s a city with a lot to offer and I know I have to go back to day to get to know it better. At the moment, my favorite cities are San Francisco and New York.

    • There’s always something new in London, as well as all the old favourites, so it’s a great place to return to, Mireya. If you visit, let me know. We could have a cup of tea 🙂 I like San Francisco and New York very much too!

  12. Thanks for featuring my Kitchen Sink Salad!
