The Christmas Edition of The Hearth and Soul Hop

Welcome to The Christmas Edition of the Hearth and Soul Hop. Hearth and Soul is a blog hop for recipes using healthy ingredients, family and comfort food recipes, articles about healthy living, real/slow/local/sustainable food, foraging, herbal remedies, organics and gardening.

We have been celebrating the Christmas season with family and friends this weekend and my final preparations for The Big Day are in full swing. We’ll be celebrating a traditional British Christmas this year at my husband’s parent’s home. My sister-in-law and her family are doing the bulk of the cooking but I’m bringing along some stuffing, a dessert and of course, cookies!

Just in case you need some last minute Christmas recipe inspiration, here are a few recipes that caught my eye last week:-

Russian Fudge from Ms. enPlace

yule log 3

Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

Before we get started with this week’s hop, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, April ! Thanks for hosting.

  3. Merry Christmas April!
We have nieces and nephews who have been living in London most of their lives. I sure they will be celebrating Christmas the English way. We are doing the Italian. “Feast of the Seven Fish” today and lasagna dinner with family tomorrow. We have set the Christmas table with crackers in honor of my husband’s English heritage. It is a great way to loosen up the crowd. Have a wonderful time.

  4. Merry Christmas April!!! Just posted my Twinkle Light Parade pictures and, even though there isn’t a recipe, I thought a small local, Christmas parade fit the theme of your hop. If it doesn’t work, please feel free to delete it. Thank you, Alea and Swathi for all you do to promote and support other bloggers. You are a great group of ladies!
Wishing you and your family a Wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
