The Gallery of Favorites: 21st September

Alea of Premeditated Leftovers and I want to welcome you to our weekend blog hop, The Gallery of Favorites, a place to share favorite posts on any subject from your own blogs. Thank you to everyone who visited and linked up to The Gallery last week. This week we are featuring a thought provoking post by Sherry from The Charm of Home called Depression/Recession Era Cooking. The starting point for this post was Janet Van Amber Paske’s book “Stories and Recipes of the Great Depression of the 1930’s”

Sherry explores the ethos behind the book, and shares her own experience making a recipe from it. What she discovered casts an interesting light on the way we eat today, and the Potato Casserole she cooked will make a delicious, frugal addition to anyone’s recipe repertoire. There are more ideas for recession and depression era cooking on Sherry’s Pinterest Boards.

Sherry blogs home and interior design at The Charm of Home where each Friday she hosts theHome Sweet Home Party. This week she is giving away a $50 Amazon gift card.

Although Alea and I both spend a lot of our time writing about food, we  also have many other interests and we know that our readers do as well. The Gallery of Favorites is a place for all bloggers to share any of their ideas, interests and passions.

Please share your favorite posts with our Gallery of Favorites below. Include a link to your actual posts, rather than to your blog.

Please include a link to one of the hosts in your post if you want to be considered for our weekly feature, either by text or with our button:
