The Gallery of Favorites 25 January

Alea of Premeditated Leftovers and I want to welcome you to our weekend blog hop, The Gallery of Favorites.

Thank you to everyone who visited and shared posts last week. This week we are featuring Make a Chalkboard Anywhere from Melynda of Our Sunday Cafe.

Melynda and her husband made a beautiful and frugal door decoration for their kitchen using chalkboard paint, door framing and a homemade stain made from easily available household ingredients.  I can think of lots of places in our home where a chalkboard would come in handy, and it also makes a lovely decoration. Melynda’s tutorial shows how easy it is to add a chalkboard anywhere in your own home and how to make your own stain to decorate the frame. Use a chalkboard in the kitchen for inspiring quotes as Melynda does, for shopping or ‘to do’ lists, or add one in a child’s room or playroom.

Melynda shares home and garden, food and family at Our Sunday Cafe. One of my favorite recent recipes from the cafe is her Spelt Berry Blender Pancakes, a delicious wholegrain pancake recipe.

Although Alea and I both spend a lot of our time writing about food, we also have many other interests and we know that our readers do as well. The Gallery of Favorites is a place for all bloggers to share any and all of their ideas, interests and passions. We welcome posts on any subject from your own blogs. Craft and tutorial projects are very welcome too.

Include a link to your actual posts, rather than to your blog.
