Twelve Colorful Things By Heather Tietz

Looking for a wonderful picture book for the little ones on your Christmas list this year? I’ve found a beautiful book by Heather Tietz that reminds me of my childhood favorites.

Entitled Twelve Colorful Things, Heather’s book explores the nature of giving and kindness through twelve months, twelve colors and twelve numbers. Beautiful illustrations by Nancy Miller enhance this timeless story. As well as sharing a powerful message, Twelve Colorful Things is a great educational tool, incorporating counting and colors as well as the seasons and months of the year.

Heather has written two other picture books for children – Yes, Jesus Loves You and Rockabye Baby Jesus, a re-telling of the Christmas story as a lullaby, which is coming out this month.

Any of these lovely books would make perfect gifts for little ones this year, and would be a great addition to any child’s book collection.

I have a copy of Twelve Colorful Things, signed by the author, to give away, just in time for Christmas giving.  Email me with ‘Twelve Colorful Things’ in the subject line. A winner will be drawn at random on 1st December.

Heather also has an excellent website with craft ideas and links to colouring sheets and activities based around her stories. Twelve Colorful Things is available through Paulist Press, as well as at Amazon and good book stores.

Disclosure – I was sent a review copy of Twelve Colorful Things free of charge. This review is my honest opinion of it.
