Welcoming 2017 at The Hearth and Soul Link Party

Happy New Year! We are welcoming 2017 with lots of great ideas and inspiration at Hearth and Soul this week!

The Hearth and Soul Blog Hop Link Party

Thank you for joining us and I do hope you will share your posts in the linky at the bottom of this post. Here at Hearth and Soul, we love recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul, but we also welcome all family friendly posts, whether they be about home, family, travel, self improvement, crafts or DIY.

While the holiday season may be over, my family and I have a bit more celebrating to do over the next couple of days as it’s our son’s 24th birthday. We’ll be going up to London, staying in a lovely hotel (which one is a surprise!) and enjoying meals at two of our favourite restaurants, Le Caprice and The Ivy. I’m very excited! I’ll be sharing some of our trip on Facebook and Instagram if you’d like to join us in a virtual visit to my favourite city.

Thinking about making some New Year’s Resolutions? Consider my alternative technique…

New Year Aspirations - New Year's Resolutions That Work

Every year for the last few years, I have worked with New Year Aspirations – and I’ve found them to be an extremely effective way to achieve my goals. Find out more here!

I love to start the New Year off with a treat or two and my Old Fashioned Banana Cake is perfect for welcoming 2017.

  1. April, thank you for hosting. I look forward to reading your aspirations post as I don’t do resolutions but think January 1 seems like a logical time to make a start at a few things.

  2. New Year, new recipes to look forward to!

April- Here in the states neflix is showing “The Crown”. I LOVE it! Are you able to watch it?

  3. Thanks for the party April! Love the world aspirations instead of resolutions, going to ready your post now!

  4. Oooh, that Banana Cake looks so good, April!! I like your aspirations, too. Aspirations and affirmations, and even goals, can be good I think. As long as all is positive. 😉

Thanks so much for highlighting the Paleo Pigs in a Blanket. Nothing makes adults turn into little kids again like those appetizers. My husband is one who will scarf them down for sure. 🙂

This week I’ve linked up an appetizer roundup that includes those plus many other great little bites that work for both kids and adults. I collected the recipes for New Year’s, but they will work for the Super Bowl or any fun gathering. 😉 I also linked up my Flourless Chocolate Cake (you don’t even have to separate the eggs!!) and the Top 20 Gluten-Free Bread Machine Recipes because I’m guessing some folks got bread machines for Christmas.

Happy 2017 once again! I’ve still got my days mixed up from the holidays (I was actually looking for Hearth and Soul yesterday–LOL), but eventually I’ll get straight. 😉

    Shirley

    • I’m still a bit mixed up with the days too, Shirley, even more so as we are still kind of on holiday until Thursday with our London trip. Thank you for your compliment on the Banana Cake. I am looking forward to your posts! Happy New Year!
