Welcoming October with The Hearth and Soul Link Party

Happy October! This week at The Hearth and Soul Link Party we are welcoming October with posts to inspire you for the new month and beyond!

The Hearth and Soul Link Party where we welcome posts about anything that feeds your soul

Posts about anything that feeds your soul are welcome at The Hearth and Soul Link Party – from home and family life, recipes, decorating, crafts, and DIY to travel, book reviews, self improvement and the arts.

October is one of my favourite months and I’m excited to see it arrive. On the other hand, I can’t believe it’s here already!

I was excited to attend the BritMums Live conference last Saturday. It was a wonderful chance to connect with other British bloggers, and keep up with the latest in the British Blogosphere. Plus, my husband and I had a fun weekend in London!

Last week I shared one of my all time favourite fall loaf cakes.

Easy to make, deliciously spiced Banana Gingerbread Loaf Recipe

Be warned, my Banana Gingerbread Loaf is absolutely addictive. It’s also a great way to use up over-ripe bananas and keeps incredibly well. I like to keep a loaf on hand in my cake dome for unexpected visitors…and for my family and I when we crave a little treat!

Keep up with the latest on FacebookTwitterPinterest and Instagram
and by subscribing to my newsletter

Welcoming October Featured Posts

I’m so grateful to everyone who visited and shared last week!

Welcoming October at the Hearth and Soul Link Party where we invite you to share blog posts about anything that feeds the soul

Today I’m featuring (from top left, clockwise):

Love this pretty Decoupage Pumpkin Using Paper Napkins from Oh My Heartsie Girl. Karren shares instructions for making pretty hangers too.

I can’t wait to make these Avocado Tex Mex Tacos from Claire Justine. These easy to make tacos contain so many of my favourite healthy ingredients and they look so delicious!

The thought-provoking 7 Things I Wish My Younger Self Had Known from Candace Woesch is a great read. No matter how old you are, this is life-changing stuff!

Linda of The Best of Long Island and Central Florida brought some wonderful fall muffins to last week’s party. Her Honey Carrot and Banana Muffins are full of  wholesome ingredients and they sound look irresistible!

There’s tons of beautiful fall decorating inspiration at Penny’s Vintage Home. Fall in the Kitchen is a lovely pastel take on decorating for the new season.

  11. Good Morning April, My word, October has certainly let us know it has arrived, as for the last few days, we have had tremendous winds here in the north of England. I have to say, I really don’t mind, because I love being warm and cosy inside my home.
    Enjoy your day.
    Best Wishes
    Daphne

    • It has been very autumnal here in Berkshire too, Daphne, although we haven’t had the high winds. I’m never sure about high winds, they make me nervous! I do like being warm and cosy inside though – it’s one of my favourite things about this time of year. Hope you are having a lovely week 🙂

  12. April, as October is my favorite month of the year, I am really looking forward to exploring all the goodies that have been shared this week. Hope your week is lovely so far and as always, I am so grateful for all you do!
