Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! Celebrations may be very different this year. However, thanks to technology we can still come together around the family table to nourish our hearts and souls, even if we are not actually together in the same room. Whether it’s a delicious meal, a beautiful tablescape, crafts and home decor or a post that provokes conversation, we have lots of inspiration for upcoming celebrations at the Hearth and Soul Link Party this week!
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes blog posts about anything that feeds the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
NB. Please only share blog posts. Unfortunately links to Facebook posts etc will be deleted.
What’s Been Happening?
I am so grateful for the opportunity to spend time around the family table with our son and his partner this week, and as we celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving.
We’ll be enjoying pumpkin pie for our Thanksgiving dessert this year. I often make some kind of a spice cake as well.
This Spicy Pumpkin Bundt Cake is a deliciously spiced cake, perfect for any fall celebration. It keeps really well. In fact, I think it tastes even better a day or two after you make it. This is a good thing, as there are only four of us!

Have a great Thanksgiving! Is Halloween a thing over there?
April Harris says
Thank you, Kristie! Halloween wasn’t really a thing when I got here 30 years ago, but it has become more of a thing as time has gone on. It’s something I always enjoy so I’m pleased about that. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what will happen this year though as we’ve had a big increase in Covid cases.

Thanks April for hosting and Happy Thanksgiving. Pictures of your family are fun. My share this week is “Fall Color Exercise Tips to Burn Calories, Get Fit, and Improve Health.” Think this is the season for big eating and important to remember to balance that out with exercise.
