Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! I’m focusing on celebrating abundance this week. With the autumn harvest in full swing here in the UK, it’s lovely to be able to enjoy lots of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as the promise this time of year holds. September is definitely the new January! Wherever you live, I hope that you are in a similar situation and able to enjoy the season (whether it’s autumn or spring where you are!).
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes family friendly blog posts about anything to feed the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.

Thanks April for hosting and for your love and concern!
Your photos and features are particularly lovely this week!
Stay well and have a wonderful week!
I hope things are going well for you, Ramona. You are definitely in my thoughts. Take care, and thank you for all your support!
Thanks for hosting, April! In some ways it’s hard to decorate for fall/autumn when we’re still in the midst of summer…but I’ll give it a try!
No rush, Sandra! I’m just trying to embrace our crazy weather. We had about one hot week in June, and then it seems like it has rained or been grey every day since, bar a couple of warm, sunny days last week. Keep on enjoying summer while it lasts where you are, and thank you for visiting and sharing. Have a wonderful week!
I’ve always thought that September is the most difficult time of year to decorate as everyone is selling and advertising fall items but it’s still quite hot with no change in color in the leaves. Hence, I’m usually a bit behind the typical fall decorating folks. 😉 I do love fall though!
This week I’ve linked up a perfect gluten-free cake for fall and an apple dessert roundup that will surely help everyone who celebrates apple season. 🙂
I’m liking all the highlights but especially that Snickerdoodle Crazy Cake! I bet it would be easy to make that GF.
Thanks so much for hosting, April!
Shirley
There’s definitely no rush, Shirley 🙂 Fall arrived early here this year so I’m trying to embrace it. Everything seems early at the moment – we even have acorns and chestnuts dropping, which normally doesn’t happen until October. It’s interesting how different weather can be around the world.
Your cake and apple desserts sound like they are right up my street. Thank you so much for visiting and sharing!
I find myself getting grumpy sometimes about all the abundance — And the hard work of managing it all. Then I remember to be grateful.
It can be a little overwhelming at times, particularly if you are trying to make it last! I totally understand what you mean, Michele!
Loving the unique shape of that coin purse! Thanks for hosting us once again. I brought by some Shrimp with Creamy Tomato Basil Sauce. It’s a favorite way to enjoy those green tomatoes. 🙂
It’s a pleasure, CJ! Creamy Tomato Basil sauce is definitely something I would enjoy – and I love prawns!
Now that the weather is just starting to cool off, I’m starting to get excited about decorating for fall this week.
I’m glad the weather is cooling off for you, Barbara!
Hello April! Happy Sunday evening/Monday morning to you!! Thank you for hosting the party. Glad to be back by for it with a post about our Sunday Supper and a look at our new chandelier.
Happy good start to your week,
Barb 🙂

Thank you for sharing, Estelle! I always enjoy your recipes!
Hi April
I feel summer slipping away here even though it has still been warm. I am definitely in the mood for Autumn to arrive so I’ll be baking more and enjoying the fall colors and cooler temperatures.
It is lovely that you are still having some warm weather, Pat. It is definitely cooling down here. I have decided to embrace it and get in the mood for Autumn, although we didn’t really have much of a summer at all! Good thing fall is one of my favourite seasons 🙂
Hi April,
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for the lovely feature for my Ham & Cheese Garden Strata, I really appreciate it! I have just started my fall transition at the cottage, fall décor, fall slip covers for all the chairs & sofas, the pumpkins will be arriving soon. I just love this time of the year with the cozy environments and lots of wonderful comfort foods. Take care and have a good week!
Miz Helen
It’s a pleasure, Miz Helen! I bet the cottage is starting to look really cozy. Happy Fall! Take care and have a lovely week.

It really does, Lauren! Hope your week is going well.

It’s a pleasure, Kimberly! I hope you are having a great week too!
April,
It is beginning to feel like fall. I don’t really decorate but I do add fall flowers outside and do start making soup. Looking forward to browsing the recipes. Thanks for the party ..
I love fall flowers, especially dahlias and zinnias. Thank you for visiting and sharing, Judee, and for your support of Hearth and Soul.
So very nice. September is the hottest month, here in the San Francisco Bay Area , so we don’t really see fall until October. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
We have had some lovely visits to California in October in years gone by. I hope we will be able to visit again soon, but probably not until next year. I hope you are having a wonderful week as well, Patrick.
April, thank you for hosting. My Oven-Dried Figs post is at #132. I’m getting ready for fall baking! And I’m going to enjoy your post about doing a fall refresh on my home!
Thank you, Jean! Our neighbour gave us some fresh figs the other day, but I’ve already used them! (They were delicious.) I would definitely like to give oven drying a try. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
