Hi there! Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week I’m featuring Christmas treats.
Here at Hearth and Soul, we love recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul, but we also welcome all family friendly posts, whether they be about home, family, travel, self improvement, crafts or DIY.
It’s definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and the holidays round here.
Last week on the blog it was all about making your own Christmas wreath from fresh foliage and flowers, one of my family’s favourite comfort foods – Traditional British Beef and Ale Stew – and a deliciously spiced Brandy and Mincemeat Cake. It’s the perfect cake for everyone who wants all the flavours of Christmas in a cake that is lighter and more moist than traditional dark fruit cakes.

It’s a pleasure, Sherri! Have a wonderful week!
That wreath is gorgeous! How I wish I could have a wreath like that one in my home! Not sure I’m talented enough to make one . . .
Thank you, Nina! I’m sure you could make a wreath – I’m not very talented either but with a little help I get there in the end 🙂
Thank you so much for including my Cookie Exchange Ideas in your feature picks for this week, April!

Hi April…Sooooooo many delicious holiday treats to try! I just can’t decide which ones to make first! This week, I am sharing a super-easy holiday or weeknight dish using turkey tenderloins which can be made quite festive by topping with my Apple-Pear-Cranberry Chutney! As always, many thanks to you and Swathi so much for all your incredible support. I am so appreciative of all your hard work. Have a wonderful rest of the week my special friend!
Hi Linda, Thank you so much! I’m loving your turkey tenderloins – what a great dish for entertaining. Hope your week is wonderful too, my friend!
April, the first thing I’m going to check out is your cake. I’m a mincemeat fan but have not yet made any this year. Soon! Thank you for hosting.
Your mincemeat would be perfect in this cake, Jean! Homemade mincemeat really is something special 🙂
Thank you for hosting, April! Beautiful Christmas spirit over here. I like all the features and I am on my way to read about your brandy and mincemeat cake!
Thank you so much for visiting and sharing, Hadia, and for the lovely compliment!
