Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week I’m thinking about all those affected by the hurricanes, and praying that you all are safe. Looking forward to brighter days, I’m featuring posts about Fall Entertaining from last week’s party.
At The Hearth and Soul Link Party, posts about anything that feeds your soul are welcome – from family, home, decorating, crafts and DIY to travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement. And of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul is a real favourite here too!
I’m publishing the party a bit early this week, as after work today my husband and I are heading off on a mid-week break to one of my favourite cities in the whole world.
Last week I shared our experience at a very special, private, after hours tour of one of England’s most beautiful Elizabethan castles.
Join my husband and I as we tour Burghley House in Lincolnshire. We were allowed to take photographs inside the house as well, so you really can join in!
Fancy a fall treat?
Wholesome sweet potato, juicy raisins, crunchy pecans and warming spices combine to make my Sweet Potato Bread the perfect fall treat. Sweet potato may sound like an unusual ingredient, but I promise you won’t be able to resist this deliciously spiced, cut and come again loaf. It’s a good thing the recipe makes 2 loaves!
Thank you to everyone who visited and shared last week. We’ve had another banner week with over 130 posts shared. Please do help me grow the party by telling your friends. The more, the merrier!

Patrick from Looney for Food shared a Blueberry Peach Spritzer and a tasty party menu.
I don’t think I’d be able to resist this S’Mores Martini from Jodie Fitz! It’s perfect for fall entertaining.
Pam from Sidewalk shoes brought elegant Lemon Verbena Gimlet Cocktails to the party. I’d love to try one of these!
The Waldorf Salad from Ivy, Phyllis and Me is perfect for a entertaining. It would make a lovely dinner party starter, light lunch main dish or addition to a buffet.
I’m really intrigued by Jenny Louise Marie’s Crappy Dinner Party. You should definitely check it out – sounds like it could be a new trend!
