Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out, the fashion industry’s biggest celebration of its kind, is back for a third year proving that three is a charm! Wherever you are, chances are there is something happening. From New York to LA, Paris to Milan, and London to Sydney, the who’s who of fashion are celebrating, and sharing some very special events indeed.
Macy’s continues to be a leader in the digital space by turning the event at their iconic New York flagship store into a live streaming show. “Macy’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out is the one party of the fall fashion season where everyone is invited,” says Martine Reardon, Executive Vice President of Advertising and Marketing, Macy’s, Inc.
“Live streaming the event from Macy’s Herald Square gives everyone a front row seat to the energy, food, music, models, even designer’s muses so they can experience the excitement of fall fashion as though they were in-store.” The two-hour event kicks off at 6:00pm EST, and special guests at time of press include Tommy Hilfiger, Joss Stone, Sandra Lee, supermodel and Karl Lagerfeld muse Coco Rocha, DJ Samantha Ronson, Rachel Roy, Amar’e Stoudemire, celebrity stylist Derek Warburton, Miss J Alexander, Bobbi Brown, INC Editor-at-Large Anna Dello Russo,Karolina Kurkova, Kelly Rowland, star of ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars”Shay Mitchell, among others. Check out Vogue UK’s wonderful website for the latest news. And yes, there’s an Ap for London’s Fashion Night Out too!
Wherever you are, there is bound to be something happening to celebrate the event that is fast becoming a fashion institution. Even smaller fashion centres are holding events – for example my local French Connection Store is among many that are offering a 20% discount on the new autumn collection, a gift bag if you spend over £100 and a refreshing glass of wine while you shop. It’s well worth investigating what is happening in your area so you too can get out there and celebrate what is becoming one of autumn’s biggest fashion events. If you really can’t get out to join in the celebrations, pour yourself a glass of wine and get online – keep an eye on #FNO or follow your local Fashion’s Night Out to keep up with the latest. Many retailers are also having online promotions as well. Last year Vogue UK ran a ‘Fashion Night In’ online shopping event, and word is they are likely to do the same thing this year. Vogue Australia are already promoting this year’s event. So keep an eye on your country’s Vogue website as well. Whatever you do, if you love fashion, don’t miss this year’s biggest ever Fashion’s Night Out!
