Hello from Northern California and welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party. I’m here for the next ten days or so, enjoying the sunshine while my husband is in conference. We are staying in an apartment instead of a hotel this time, so I’m on the lookout for lots of fresh recipes and ideas to enjoy with the wonderful California produce that’s available now.
At The Hearth and Soul Link Party, blog posts about anything that feeds the soul are welcome. This includes family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts, self improvement and more!
I know it sounds crazy, but we eat out so much that actually being able to cook while we are travelling is a real treat for me! It also means we can eat a bit more healthily (although I appreciate that is a really big steak!). Yesterday’s menu was porridge with strawberries for breakfast, Poached Eggs on Avocado Toast for lunch, and you can see what we had for dinner above!

April,
I never mind the cooking but it’s the shopping and clean up that I hate. However, it is nice to be able to make your own meal some of the nights when traveling. Have fun!

I’m with you, April. Too many restaurant meals, even the very best ones, begin to pale after too many of them. Then we’re craving even the simplest homemade meal. Hope you have a splendid time! Thank you for hosting.

Thank you for visiting and sharing, Patrick. Welcome!
This sounds like such a great linky. I’d love to participate someday, but somehow I don’t see the linky itself now. Do I need to click a button to get to the actual linky? I am blind so if it’s just a picture, I can’t see it.
Hi Astrid, Thank you for visiting. The link button is at the very bottom under the pictures. I don’t know if it helps, but it’s blue in colour. Occasionally InLinkz goes down so it may have been that the link wasn’t visible when you visited. The linky is open until midnight PST today so please do pop by if you can. If not, the party starts again on Monday about 10am PT (1pm ET, 6pm BST). I hope you are having a lovely weekend!
