I love this time of year! There are so many great things to do this fall. Hello and welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party where blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome! This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
We’ve been celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving at our house. I invited some of my extended family to join us for lunch yesterday. We had such a lovely time enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving meal and catching up. It was a shame our son and his girlfriend were unable to join us, but they both had to work.
Imagine how surprised and pleased I was when our son arrived in the early evening! He drove over two hours after work to get to us. Unfortunately his lovely girlfriend couldn’t join us, but she was very supportive when our son said he would like to come to us, and I really do appreciate it!
So my husband and I had a second dinner with our son! We ended the day with truly full hearts – and very full tummies after not one, but two Thanksgiving dinners!
After a day of indulgence, I always like to get back on track quickly. Last week I blogged a healthy recipe that will definitely feature in our meal plan in the coming days.
Fresh salmon combines with crisp broccoli and red pepper on a bed of brown rice in my Easy Salmon and Broccoli Stir Fry recipe. It’s delicious, nutritious and makes a lovely quick supper for busy evenings.
But don’t worry, it’s not all going to be healthy stuff! I’ll be sharing lots more treats for US Thanksgiving and Christmas in the coming weeks as well as more travel and style for fall and winter.
Thank you to you all for visiting, sharing, and being a part of this wonderful link party!
