Great Things To Do This Fall at the Hearth and Soul Link Party - ideas, inspiration and a chance to share your blog posts about anything that feeds the soul

The Hearth and Soul Link Party where we welcome posts about anything to feed the soul
I love this time of year! There are so many great things to do this fall. Hello and welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party where blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome! This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.

We’ve been celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving at our house. I invited some of my extended family to join us for lunch yesterday. We had such a lovely time enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving meal and catching up. It was a shame our son and his girlfriend were unable to join us, but they both had to work.

Imagine how surprised and pleased I was when our son arrived in the early evening! He drove over two hours after work to get to us. Unfortunately his lovely girlfriend couldn’t join us, but she was very supportive when our son said he would like to come to us, and I really do appreciate it!

So my husband and I had a second dinner with our son! We ended the day with truly full hearts – and very full tummies after not one, but two Thanksgiving dinners!

Great Things to Do This Fall at The Hearth and Soul Link Party - Family Thanksgiving

After a day of indulgence, I always like to get back on track quickly. Last week I blogged a healthy recipe that will definitely feature in our meal plan in the coming days.

Fresh salmon combines with crisp broccoli and red pepper on a bed of brown rice in my Easy Salmon and Broccoli Stir Fry recipe. This is a rice bowl with a difference!

Fresh salmon combines with crisp broccoli and red pepper on a bed of brown rice in my Easy Salmon and Broccoli Stir Fry recipe. It’s delicious, nutritious and makes a lovely quick supper for busy evenings.

But don’t worry, it’s not all going to be healthy stuff! I’ll be sharing lots more treats for US Thanksgiving and Christmas in the coming weeks as well as more travel and style for fall and winter.

Thank you to you all for visiting, sharing, and being a part of this wonderful link party!

Instagram post 2190975069077257663_179821897 🎄 Have you put up your Christmas decorations yet? 🎄I love hearing about people’s traditions around decorating. So many wait until after a birthday or have a special date to start. I’d love to know what happens at your house!
🎄
My Christmas tree has been up since November 1, but only because I had a photo shoot ini early November. It was too much work to take it down again, and frankly it has brightened the dark mornings. 🎄
The rest of the house took shape last week before our first Christmas party. I’m loving how this swag of greenery, pinecones, feathers and flowers made by my favourite florist @greenparlour looks on my Grandmother’s and my Mom’s sideboard in the kitchen. I think that both these lovely late ladies would approve! .

Instagram post 2190051477086874443_179821897 🌟 Feeling Festive 🌟Are you feeling festive yet? I definitely am! 🎄🍾🎄 We had a wonderful celebratory weekend. We hosted our annual Christmas cocktail party for 60 friends on Friday, and attended a black tie dinner at beautiful Beaulieu Palace House @national_motor_museum where this photo was taken on Saturday. The decorations at Palace House were stunning, full of holiday sparkle. I'll be sharing more here and on the blog soon!We also celebrated Thanksgiving at our lovely friends' house on Sunday with delicious food and great company.
I hope you are getting into the holiday spirit too! 🎄🍾🌟
