I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend or if you celebrate Passover that it is going well. Good Friday and Easter Monday are ‘Bank Holidays’ in England so many of us have enjoyed a four day weekend. My husband and I were in Christchurch, on the south coast of England, from Thursday to Saturday. We attended our friends’ wedding in a beautiful hotel and had an absolutely wonderful time.
Sunday was spent celebrating Easter with family and today we’ve been driving through country lanes with the roof down.
We stopped at Grey’s Court and Nuffield Place, two stunning National Trust properties. I’ve written about Grey’s Court before and there is a post on Nuffield Place coming soon!
Last week I shared a Last Minute Easter Bread – which actually makes a delicious all year round fruit bread too. It’s super easy (made in the bread machine) and tastes especially lovely toasted.

A traditional Old Fashioned Cajun Tarte à la Bouille from Michelle of Ms. enPlace. I love reading about different food traditions and Michelle’s tart looks scrumptious! It reminds me a little of the Custard Tarts we have here in the UK but with a Cajun twist.
Grilled Lemon and Basil Vinaigrette from Janette of Culinary Ginger. This flavourful vinaigrette uses lots of fresh herbs and grilled lemons for a fabulous flavour.
and a delicious Old Fashioned Carrot Cake from Arlene of Flour on My Face. I always love vintage recipes and Arlene’s Carrot Cake looks fantastic.
