The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party
Welcome to The Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party for the week of May 30th. We invite you to share all family-friendly posts as well as, of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul.

I’ve been in California this week. Last Sunday my husband and I visited one of our parts of the world and drove one of our favourite routes.
Lodge at Pebble Beach 17 Mile Drive

Come along with us as we spend a day Travelling The 17 Mile Drive.

I also shared a wonderful vintage recipe that’s been in my family for over 4 generations – Auntie’s Old Fashioned Spice Cake.

On with the Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party! Thank you to everyone who visited and shared last week. Today I’m featuring:

Looks like you enjoyed your California adventure. FYI, I’m going to be in Tuscany for the whole of June. I don’t know how much linky “partying” I’ll be doing. I’ll get back on track in July. Thanks as always for your support and hosting.

    Hi April,
I love old family recipes- thanks so much for sharing this treasure. I think that buttermilk is always a great addition to a cake recipe and I love the handwritten index card- I have lots of them. Who knew we would consider them antiquated one day. Thanks for another great party. Have a great day.

Instagram post 2191777817742340536_179821897 Almost matching up with my surroundings at beautiful Beaulieu Palace House @national_motor_museum
The Christmas tree behind me was almost two stories tall and so gorgeous! The scent of fir trees and woodsmoke was in the air, and you could hear the crackle of the logs in the fireplaces. There were lots of sparkly lights too. What a magical evening it was!

Instagram post 2190975069077257663_179821897 🎄 Have you put up your Christmas decorations yet? 🎄I love hearing about people’s traditions around decorating. So many wait until after a birthday or have a special date to start. I’d love to know what happens at your house!
🎄
My Christmas tree has been up since November 1, but only because I had a photo shoot ini early November. It was too much work to take it down again, and frankly it has brightened the dark mornings. 🎄
The rest of the house took shape last week before our first Christmas party. I’m loving how this swag of greenery, pinecones, feathers and flowers made by my favourite florist @greenparlour looks on my Grandmother’s and my Mom’s sideboard in the kitchen. I think that both these lovely late ladies would approve! .

The decorations at Palace House were stunning, full of holiday sparkle. I'll be sharing more here and on the blog soon!We also celebrated Thanksgiving at our lovely friends' house on Sunday with delicious food and great company.
I hope you are getting into the holiday spirit too! 🎄🍾🌟
