Welcome! The Hearth and Soul Hop is the blog hop for family and comfort food recipes, healthy, sustainable living posts, gardening, family, kids, crafts and DIY. Encouraging and inspiring posts are welcome too.
Fall has definitely arrived on this side of the pond but not as we normally know it. We’ve been having some delightful warm weather and it has been England’s driest September in over fifty years. It’s a marvelous change from our usual damp, grey fall weather and we are enjoying every minute of it! It has been a great encouragement to Freshen Up My Home for Fall.
British Food Fortnight, Britain’s harvest celebration, is still going strong. We don’t have Thanksgiving here in the United Kingdom and British Food Fortnight aims to bring back a celebration of the harvest in this country. My family and I celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving in October so this is a real passion of mine. I really think that the UK would benefit from an official Thanksgiving Day sometime during our harvest season!
We had one of our best weeks ever at the Hearth and Soul Hop last week with 117 posts shared. Thank you all so much for your support. Swathi and I are excited to see the hop growing like this. Please share the Hearth and Soul hop with your readers and blogging friends so it can become an even richer resource of inspiration and community.
You all shared a wonderful selection of posts with us last week, it really was hard to choose features! I’ve chosen just a few of the posts that caught my eye.
Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts from What a Girl Eats
Easy Fall Decor Ideas from A Kaleidoscopic Dream
Dense and Chewy Pumpkin Cookies from Tessa The Domestic Diva
