Hello and welcome to the June 2024 Edition of The Hearth and Soul Link Party – the 14th Anniversary Edition! That’s right, the Hearth and Soul Link Party is celebrating 14 years this month. Whether you have been with us from the beginning, for a number of years, or are a more recent member of the community, I appreciate all that you do to help make our little corner of the web a friendly, welcoming and inspiring place.
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes family-friendly blog posts about anything that feeds the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts, and self improvement.
The Latest
I am writing this post from the Loire Valley in France, where I am on a road trip with my husband, our son Alexander and his partner Hannah. We are travelling in two of our vintage cars, a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 2 from 1977 and a 1997 Bentley Turbo R. It has been such fun exploring this beautiful area, despite some very unseasonable weather! We have explored some beautiful countryside, chateaus and vineyards.
On the Blog – June 2024 Edition
I have been leaning into summer on the blog, sharing lots of delicious salad recipes and a family recipe for Lobster Rolls.
Comfort food still features too, with a Beef and Barley Stew that is perfect for cooler spring days. There’s a vegetarian/vegan option too.
And if you have a sweet tooth you will love these Raspberry Snow Bars, perfect for a snack or served alongside Orange and Raisin Scones for afternoon tea.
I also shared our adventures on The 17 Mile Drive.
We love this scenic drive down California’s Monterey Coast to Pebble Beach. Oh, and I must not forget to share this virtual visit to Hampton Court Palace – and tips for visiting in real life too!

The Hearth and Soul Link Party is held monthly, opening on the first Sunday of every month and remaining open until the 25th of the month, or until 300 entries are reached.
