The Hearth and Soul Link Party where we welcome posts about anything to feed the soul
Fall may be on its way, but for one more week at least, I’m celebrating Late Summer Ideas and recipes. Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party!

This is not to say I’m not looking forward to all the good things about fall – and I’m very happy to be inspired in that direction as well. It’s just that we so rarely get a proper summer in England, I want to make the most of it while it lasts.

With that in mind, I’ve been making the most of summer ingredients in my kitchen with recipes like these!

Apple Pear and Pecan Streusel Muffin recipe

Late summer fruit features in these delicious Apple Pear and Pecan Streusel Muffins, perfect for late summer breakfasts and snacks.

Crunchy veggies, canned tuna and pasta combine in this easy Tuna Pasta Salad recipe. It's perfect for summer barbecues, or pot luck dinners all year round.

My Tuna Pasta Salad makes a lovely side dish at a late summer barbecue or a wholesome, appetizing lunch all by itself.

Everyone always asks for my late Mom's colourful Potato Salad recipe! An easy but unique prep method gives this creamy salad a wonderful depth of flavour.

My late Mom’s Best Potato Salad recipe uses an interesting technique to make a salad that is packed with flavour, perfect for late summer parties.

Late Summer Ideas

This week I’m featuring inspiration in the form of Late Summer Ideas, ways to enjoy the last few weeks of summer.

Late Summer Ideas at The Hearth and Soul Link Party. Join us and share your blog posts about anything that feeds the soul!

Late Summer Ideas features include (from top left, clockwise):

Make homemade ice cream with this Fudge Ripple Ice Cream recipe from Jean of Delightful Repast,

Get creative (and maybe even get ahead for Christmas) by making these pretty Vintage Handkerchief Jewellery Pouches with instructions from Julie at Sum of Their Stories,

Enjoy a few more barbecues, with recipes like these delicious Grilled Beef Kabobs from Leslie at My Gluten Free Cucina,

and try something new for breakfast with this Breakfast Barley with Maple Roasted Cherries recipe from Patrick at Looney for Food.

Thank you so much to everyone for visiting and sharing last week! On with this week’s party!

The Hearth and Soul Link Party

Beyond keeping it family friendly, this is a no rules party.

Blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome at The Hearth and Soul Link Party. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.

I’m always grateful if you include a link back to AprilJHarris.com in your post and/or share the party on social media. There are buttons at the top and bottom of this blog post to make sharing easy.

Sharing your posts here means you consent to me featuring your posts and photos on my blog and social media. As you would expect, all shares include a link back to your blog.

Please keep the party going by visiting some of the other posts, and connecting with other bloggers. The community we have created here at Hearth and Soul is really something to be proud of, and I’m so grateful to you all for your part in it!

Wishing you a lovely week ahead!

Yes, enjoy your summer! I’m kind of over ours and already dabbling in pumpkin!

Thank you, Pam. It’s funny you say that, I’m finding myself pulled towards autumn too. It seems that for me, when it comes to pumpkin, resistance is futile 🙂 Have a lovely week!

So much wonderful variety each week! This time I’ve linked up my Classic Freezer Fudge (a truly perfect chocolate treat for hot summer days!) and my gluten-free and grain-free Zucchini Fritters (a light and lovely way to use zucchini).

Kids went back to school here today. It’s too early! The end of summer always comes too quickly and that comes from someone who loves fall but this summer has gone more quickly than most.

    Thanks for hosting, April!

Thank you, Shirley! It does feel early for back to school, but I can feel the seasons changing. Last night I noticed it was darker much earlier. It’s still hot here though, 77°F here today 🙂 Have a lovely week!
