This is such an exciting time in my personal life, as well as here at The 21st Century Housewife. As I write this, the wonderful team at Kohler Created are working on a website redesign that will revolutionize the look and feel of this site. Launching in late January, the redesign is a celebration of the tenth anniversary of The 21st Century Housewife. That’s right, I celebrated my 10th ‘blogoversary’ in October 2012! I’m saving the real celebrations for the launch, but I’m very proud of this accomplishment. So what are my professional highlights from this year, the anniversary of a decade of The 21st Century Housewife on the web?
Attending the first ever Vogue Festival in London was a real thrill. I even had the chance to be a Vogue cover girl for the day.
It was wonderful to be able to attend both BlogHer Food ’12 in Seattle and BlogHer ’12 in New York City. It was there that I was privileged to sit in the audience addressed live via internet by President Obama. Other famous attendees included Martha Stewart, Katie Couric and Christy Turlington-Burns, as well as some of my very favourite bloggers.

Personally, family and travel were at the centre of my life once again this year. From Christmas 2011 in NYC to our visits to California in March and June, as well as three visits to Canada including one to attend my beautiful cousin Laura’s wedding and another to set up a second home in Ontario for our son to live in while he is at college (and for us when we visit!). My family and I also visited Seattle for the very first time, and my son and I enjoyed a trip to Rome in October.
Thank you so much for visiting in 2012 and for all your support of The 21st Century Housewife. I’m seriously excited about 2013 and I hope that you are too. Wishing you and yours a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
