Made in Provence is a delightful company that provides everyone with the chance to experience a little taste of Provence. Offering traditional and authentic handmade specialities, the Made in Provence range includes jams, chutneys, honey, nougat, and other treats, as well as beautifully scented soaps, lavender bags, organic shower gels, natural candles and home fragrances. Their products are sourced from small established artisans in Provence who believe in traditional craftsmanship and are passionate about their culture and history.
I met Christine Vidal, the owner of Made in Provence, at Masterchef Live and was interested to learn more about her very interesting business. Having been drawn to Christine’s stand by the gorgeous fragrance of Provençal lavender, I was not surprised to learn that it plays a big part in many of her products – even some of the edible ones. The Apricot & Lavender Jam is absolutely scrumptious. I also loved the honey which is lightly flavoured with lavender.
Of course, it isn’t all lavender at made in Provence. There are many other treats available including wonderful traditional nougat. Nothing like the commercially produced offerings I had tasted before,Made in Provence’s nougat is lightly sweet and delicious, perfect for serving with coffee after a dinner party, or as a little sweet with your afternoon cup of tea.
Made in Provence also stock many fragrance options for your home, from candles to room spray as well as soaps, shower gels and lotions. I was very taken with their Muscat Doré range and treated myself to a shower gel and home fragrance spray, both of which I am enjoying immensely.
Perfect for holiday gift giving, Made in Provence offer ready prepared hampers for sale, as well as providing a bespoke service that allows you to personalise your gifts by specifying the exact contents of your hamper.
