Hello and welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week, I’ve got some exciting new developments to share with you!
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes family friendly blog posts about anything to feed the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
New Developments
A NEW Hearth and Soul Facebook Group
Although Hearth and Soul has had a Facebook page for a number of years, Facebook doesn’t seem to give much exposure to the page or your content.
So, this week I set up a new Facebook Group for members of the Hearth and Soul Community. Whether you visit the Hearth and Soul Link Party to share, be inspired, or both, I hope I will all join the group by following this clickable link as soon as you can. Being part of a Facebook group will help us all to expand our reach and connect with each other in different ways. You can also share your own posts in the group as well as at the party – and I will share your posts as well.
New Party Duration From 3rd October
As many of you know, I have been hosting the Hearth and Soul Link Party for over ten years now. I’m so grateful to you all for your support!
I love the party and this community, but it does take a lot of time and effort. At least 6 hours of my working week, every week, are spent on this labour of love. With some new projects in the pipeline in addition to the blog and writing my cookbook, I’m struggling to keep on top of everything.
So, this week’s party will run for a week as normal, but from next week (Sunday 3rd October), each Hearth and Soul Link Party will become a monthly party, open for one month from the party launch on the first Sunday of every month.
I will still pop by regularly to share your content, so please continue to visit and share throughout the month. You can also share your own content and content from others about anything that feeds the soul in the new Hearth and Soul Facebook Group.
I know that change can be unsettling, but I firmly believe that these new developments will make for stronger, more effective links, greater reach, and even better SEO for us all. If we work together we can continue to make the Hearth and Soul Community the nurturing and inspiring community I am so proud and grateful to be a part of.
What Else Is New?
Things are definitely picking up again and our family calendar is quite booked up now. I have been making lots of easy main dishes that satisfy our need for comfort food but don’t take forever to make. If you looking for fresh ideas for fall suppers too, I can help you make meal planning easy too.
Whether you prefer meat, poultry, fish or vegetarian options, there is something for everyone amongst this collection of tried and tested, Easy, Family-Friendly Fall Recipes.
And if you fancy a treat, this super easy cake is getting a lot of attention on the blog and social media at the moment!
With juicy pears, warming ginger and a hint of almond, my Pear and Ginger Cake recipe is perfect for any occasion.

The Hearth and Soul Link Party
- Please share the permalink to your blog post, and not to the home page of your blog. Do not link to anything except blog posts.
- Linking your blog posts here means you consent to me sharing as many of them as I can on Pinterest, Twitter, and both my own Facebook page and The Hearth and Soul Community Facebook Group and featuring them on my blog with photographs from the post.
- By submitting a post to the link party here, you assert that you own the content and photographs and can give me permission to share.
- It’s easier for me to publicise your posts if you have social media share buttons on your blog.
- There are buttons at the top and bottom of this post to help you bring Hearth and Soul to the attention of your friends and followers. I really appreciate it when you do!
Thank you for visiting! I hope you are as excited about these new developments as I am. Have a wonderful week ahead. See you on Sunday 3rd October first of the new parties!

I totally understand the number of hours it takes every week to publish your link party. In the past 11 years that I have been hosting a link party the entire blogging formats have changed and I am sure will continue to change as we move along. Thanks for all you do to enable us to have more exposure for our work! Hope you have a great week!

I understand about the need to apportion one’s time in better ways. I struggle with that myself. There are so many things we could be doing, it’s hard sometimes to sift through and decide what’s best.

Ooh that sounds lovely! I am going to check my calendar to see if I am free that Saturday. What fun to have a cooking ‘date’ from over the pond! My favourite part of the internet is how it can join us together even when we are very far away from each other.
April Harris says
It would be lovely to see you if you are free, Kara! It really is lovely how we can get together even though we are far away.

April,
Good luck with all your endeavors. As much as I will miss the weekly party, I certainly understand that it takes a lot of work and time on your part and with all your new projects it is one thing too many. Writing a cookbook is a huge endeavor in itself. I wrote and published mine during Covid Shut In and spent 6 hours/day on It. Looking forward to your cookbook!
April Harris says
Thank you so much, Judee! Congratulations on your cookbook! Have you written a blog post about it with a link to buy in it? Even if you have already shared it and I somehow missed it, you could share it again 🙂
