Hello from Ontario and welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party. I’m sharing lots of October Inspiration this week to celebrate the season of harvest, pumpkins, fall fruits and Halloween!
Please join in The Hearth and Soul Link Party by sharing posts about everything from home and family life, recipes, decorating, crafts, and DIY to travel, book reviews, self improvement and more in the linky at the bottom of this post. We welcome posts about anything that feeds the soul!
I’m just at the end of a holiday in Ontario, Canada, where we have been catching up with family and friends. It has been a lovely, restorative time. My husband and I are just enjoying a couple of days at beautiful Langdon Hall in Cambridge before we head home. I’m working on a blog post about Langdon Hall as we speak, and I’m excited to share it with you soon. It’s our fourth visit to this Relais and Chateaux Hotel so I’ve got lots of photos to share too!
One of things I love about travel is the joy of coming home. I can’t wait to get back in the kitchen! I’ll definitely be making comforting dishes like this one:
My Beef and Ale Stew is a traditional British dish that the whole family will love. It’s easy to make and smells amazing while it’s cooking too!
After all the lovely hotels we have stayed in, I’m feeling inspired to freshen up my home for fall as well.

Hi April,
Your Steak and Ale Stew looks delicious, it is very chilly here today so it would be perfect. Hope you are having a great week and thanks so much for the party!
Miz Helen
Those lavender bags are adorable! We’re finally getting some chillier days and nights but it’s still going to warm up later this week. I’m not complaining because we’re still getting to camp comfortably. 🙂
This week I’m linking up my updated post with the best gluten-free biscuit and roll recipes–so many amazing ones–and my easy crustless gluten-free pecan pie (I like both easy and crustless pies).
Hope you’ve had a great trip to Canada, April!
