It’s Canada Day Monday and the 4th of July is fast approaching, so we are celebrating patriotic holidays at this week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party. Welcome!
I’m publishing a bit early as we have special visitors from Canada. We are enjoying their company and doing lots of sightseeing with them!
At The Hearth and Soul Link Party, you can share blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
What’s New On The Blog
I’m loving all the wonderful fresh fruit that is coming into season!
My Cherry Loaf Cake is a delicious summer treat. It’s easy to make and perfect with a cup of tea or coffee for afternoon tea or as a treat. It also works beautifully as a dessert alongside a scoop of ice cream. I even have a sneaky piece for breakfast now and again!
Patriotic Holidays – Featured Posts
Thank you all for sharing your wonderful content with Hearth and Soul!
This week’s featured posts are just some of the wonderful Patriotic Holidays Ideas shared with last week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party. It was really hard to select the ones to feature. Featured posts include (from top left, clockwise):-
Patriotic Kids Crafts Ideas from Mama of Many Blessings
Patriotic Fruit Pizza from Katy at Petals Pies and Otherwise (You could leave off the blueberries for a Canada Day version.)
DIY Summer Wreaths from Crystal and Co.
Patriotic Cookies from Mama of Many Blessings (again I’m seeing a possible adaptation for Canada Day by leaving out the blue sprinkles)
Homemade Red White and Blue Ice Cream from Kelli at 3 Boys and a Dog
I’m excited to see what you will share this week!
The Hearth and Soul Link Party
Please share your blog posts about anything that feeds the soul.
Please share the party on social media. There are buttons at the top and bottom of this blog post to make it easy. There is no obligation, but it helps the party and my blog when you share or provide a link back to AprilJHarris.com.
Linking your posts here means you consent to me featuring your posts and photos on my blog and social media. Of course, I include a link to your blog.
Wishing a Happy Canada Day and a Happy 4th of July to everyone who is celebrating either of these patriotic holidays!

Hi April! My computer is giving me fits today but I did manage to share one thing, a DIY street sign for the yard that displays places dear to your heart. I made it for a girls camp I was in charge of. Now that camp is over, I am adding a few more places and changing some out to display it our yard! All of those places make me think of you and your exciting travels.
If my computer issues get straightened out, hopefully I can come back and share a couple of other things. Thank you for hosting, I love the patriotic features.
April Harris says
Hi Helen,
I’m sorry your computer is playing up. I love the idea of your street sign – it would be perfect for us 🙂
