Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! I think I’m safe to say that it’s definitely pumpkin season now, and I’m loving it. Are you a pumpkin lover too?
At the Hearth and Soul Link Party, you can share blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
What’s Been Happening?
I’ve just returned home from a visit to California and Texas. I caught up with my friends Sandi and Pauline which was lovely. Sandi is the owner of the popular gluten-free blog, Fearless Dining (see her delicious whoopie pies in the features) and Pauline Wiles creates simple, stylish websites for writers and authors as well as being author of the popular Saffron Sweeting novels. There’s a new instalment in the series coming out soon!
I even got a chance to visit a place I’ve been wanting to go for a long time with my friend Lillian.
I have tons of photographs and I will definitely be sharing a blog post after we get home from Canada.
On The Blog
Are you doing any fall baking? I’m struggling to fit it in, but as soon as I get home from our trip to Canada, this delicious loaf cake will be first on the list!
My Triple Ginger Pound Cake is richly spiced, fragrant and perfect any time of day. It’s one of my favourite fall indulgences!
Also, if you are trying to use fewer commercial cleaners around the home, you may find one of my latest posts helpful.
Don’t miss these Natural Cleaning Tips That Really Work! They are all things I use in my own home.
I so appreciate your support of Hearth and Soul! Thank you to everyone for visiting and sharing.

Thank you for hosting, April. YES, pumpkins are everywhere…good thing of love them 🙂 This week I’ve shared our Homemade Marshmallow recipe with #2 as well as how to make an amazing Homemade Yogurt that comes out thick and creamy every time. Have a wonderful week and look forward to seeing your tour of Magnolia 🙂

How fun to visit Magnolia! I’d love to do that some day. I have a peanut butter-chocolate chip-oatmeal cookie recipe I love to make in the fall. Maybe soon! It’s still pretty hot and humid here in eastern TN, so it doesn’t feel like fall yet. But the leaves are starting to turn, so, hopefully we feel some cooler breezes soon. I also like to make a gluten free applesauce cake this time of year (d-i-l and grandson have gluten issues), but two family members asked for it for their birthdays earlier this year. But I plan to make it for company this weekend. I also make a Harvest Loaf Cake (like pumpkin bread with chocolate chips and a spicy glaze), but we usually have it closer to Christmas.

Oh that all sounds so delicious, Barbara! Hope it cools down for you soon. Thank you for visiting and sharing!
