Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Hop Link Party for June 27th through July 2nd. This week I’ll be featuring summer salad but we invite you to share all family-friendly posts as well as, of course, recipes for food from the hearth to feed your soul. Old and new posts are welcome!
It’s an exciting time of year to be in England, with all kinds of events and activities to enjoy. Come and take a virtual visit with me.
The Championships at Wimbledon started today and continue for the next two weeks. But Wimbledon isn’t just about the tennis!
Join me in a virtual visit to this iconic sporting event in There’s More Than Just Tennis at Wimbledon.
I’ll be attending The Henley Royal Regatta this week. Since the Victorian era, this boat racing competition has attracted the great and the good from all over the world to the banks of The Thames in the quintessentially British village of Henley.
Sneak a peak into a day in the life and find out more in The Henley Royal Regatta.
I also shared a really versatile marinade for chicken.
Based on one of my late Dad’s recipes, this flavourful Lemon and Herb Chicken Marinade helps keep chicken moist and juicy whether you are barbecuing, roasting or baking it.

Hi April,
Thanks so much for the awesome feature for my Old Fashioned Coleslaw, it is truly one of my favorites. London is an exciting place to be right now. Our Granddaughter Victoria is a Summer Law Associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlette LLP in London. She will graduate from Northwestern next year and hopes to work in London. She loves London. Enjoy your week and thanks so much for a lovely party!

I love your picture of the regatta! It’s fun for me to see some of the things that you do. I love the peek that you give of what it’s like to live in England!
Thank you so much, Nina 🙂

My pleasure, Hadia. Thank you so much for visiting! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Thanks so much for hosting, April. I brought an okra and tomato casserole today.
Sounds lovely, Sherry. I am fascinated by okra, it’s such a wonderful vegetable!
Hi April. I’ve had going to Wimbeldon on my bucket list all my life. One of these days I’ll get there. Just hoping that the 2 remaining Australia male players (Kyrios and Tomic) are beaten. They are such bad sports and giving Australian tennis a really bad name. I love watching it every year, even though we are rugged up in bed.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for the party.
Anne @ Domesblissity
I hope you will get there one day, Anne, it really is good fun. I haven’t got tickets this year so I’m watching on TV too, although luckily in the same time zone. Enjoy your weekend too!
