You may think I’m running a bit early, but as a British Canadian, it really is time for me to be thinking about Thanksgiving ideas! Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party.
Canadian Thanksgiving falls on the second Monday in October every year; this year it is October 14th. So there’s just two weeks to confirm my menu and get going on my preparations for our celebration meal with family and friends. Hence, my feature focus this week. For those of you who celebrate in November, this is a great opportunity to get ahead!
At the Hearth and Soul Link Party, you can share blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
What’s Been Happening?
After two weeks in the US on a work trip with my husband, we returned home for just two and a half days before heading out on a vacation week in Canada. We fly home later today.
I’ve been having fun catching up with family and friends, as well as taking a little time out, so I’m still working on posts about our visit to the Magnolia Silos and Magnolia Table, as well as some more new recipes and posts from our travels earlier this year. I’ve been popping in to share your posts though!
I’ve published a few posts this week, including an easy traybake and a couple of recipes perfect for Thanksgiving.
Looking for a quick, fresh, easy, and delicious supper? My One Pan Salmon and Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables is a deliciously spiced and full of healthy ingredients.
You will love this wonderfully Easy Thanksgiving Stuffing Recipe, chock full of crisp celery, plump dried apricots and crunchy pecans. And last but not least,
Whether you serve this Spicy Pumpkin Bundt Cake as an alternative to pumpkin pie, or just keep it on hand to serve as a treat with a hot drink, this easy recipe is sure to become a family favourite.
Thank you all for your support of the Hearth and Soul Link Party! I really appreciate how you are helping the party to grow!

Hi Miz Helen, I’m so glad you are enjoying a visit with your daughter! I’ve had such a lovely time catching up with friends and family over the last few weeks. I’m looking forward to getting home now though. I hope you have a wonderful week 🙂
Wonderful links! A friend in Canada posted pictures of their massive snowstorm with 20+ inches of snow. I hope you’re not in that area, or at least that it’s not affecting your travels.
Thank you, Barbara! I’m just flying home from Ontario tonight, so thankfully quite a long way away from where the snow is. It really looks like they are getting a huge amount in Alberta, and it’s so early too!
Thanks for hosting and Happy Fall to you and family…
