As I write this, parts of the nearest major city to my home, London, England, are on fire due to looters. My son is there, on theatre workshop, thankfully not near to where the troubles are as yet. I want him, and us, together and safe. I find it almost impossible to believe, that this can be happening.
Our dear friend and co-host, Alex, of A Moderate Life, has decided to take a break from blogging for now, following the death of a school colleague of her daughter, due to prescription drug abuse. Seriously, what is the world coming to?
It does make me value, more than ever, the principles of hearth and soul. You may notice a few differences in the weeks to come, as the Hearth and Soul Blog Hop evolves. There will be some changes – Kankana is leaving the Hop to pursue photography, Jason of Alternative Health and Nutrition will be leaving in 2 weeks to pursue a new website and project, and Alex is taking a blogging break – but its essence will always be the same. The ties that bind, the things that matter. Family (and friend) ties, honour, honestly, and love. I will continue to host the Hearth and Soul Hop with Alea of Premeditated Leftovers, Melynda of Mom’s Sunday Café, and Swathi of Zesty South Indian Kitchen. I am sad that we are losing some of our hosts, but I am also excited about changes that my other co-hosts and I are planning. Look forward to an announcement from us next week.
Please link a recipe using the linky tools below and your link will be shared over many different blogs with many different blog audiences. Recipes should include healthy ingredients and can be old or new recipes or posts. Articles on real food, slow food, foraging, herbal remedies, local food, sustainable food, organics, gardening or any healthy eating information written in a positive and loving light are also welcome.
-Must include a link back to one/any of the host sites (through worded link or badge) in individual post, not on sidebar…although we love having links on your page, as well.
-Please link a post that closely fits into our mission.
I look forward to seeing what you will share!
