Welcome to the May Day Edition of The Hearth and Soul Link Party!
At The Hearth and Soul Link Party, posts about anything that feeds your soul are welcome – from family, home, decorating, crafts and DIY to travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement. And of course, food from the hearth to feed your soul is a real favourite here too!
It’s May Day today (Monday), a national holiday here in England. Traditionally there are village fêtes (fairs) with traditional Morris dancing and May Pole dances. Mostly, though, we just enjoy along weekend and hope for good weather. We had a bit of sunshine today and enjoyed a gorgeous walk up in the ancient woods near our home between rain showers.
I’ve been working hard on a series of healthy living posts, including how I lost 30 pounds and got into the best shape of my entire life! I can’t wait to share them with you. I’ve also got lots of new recipes (some healthy, some not-so-much!) to share with you over the coming months.

Last week I shared quick and easy stir fry full of healthy ingredients. This is a rice bowl with a difference!
My Salmon and Broccoli Stir Fry has an easy sauce that makes it taste so good. It really is a family favourite – even amongst family and friends who are not normally fans of fish and seafood!!

Just looked up Morris dancing – sooo interesting. Love the idea of prancing about and celebrating flora and fauna. Your hike – post rain showers – looks to be a bit more sensible and wonderful, too. Thank you always for a lovely party.
