Hi there! Welcome to this week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party! We are a friendly community of bloggers who enjoy sharing and also visiting each other’s posts. This week’s features are travel posts or blog posts with great tips and ideas.
Please link up blog posts about anything that feeds the soul. This includes family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts, self improvement and more!
The week has started off well! We are celebrating the birth of another Royal Baby here in England today with the arrival of TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child. As I write this, we are all awaiting a glimpse of the baby as the Duchess leaves The Lido Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London and returns home to Kensington Palace.
We’ve had a glimpse of spring and even summer weather this past weeks, with temperatures soaring into the high twenties (that’s high seventies Farenheit). Unfortunately it’s gone a bit cloudy and cooler now, but hopefully the warm weather will return. I’ve started to crave spring flavours and have been enjoying these light, yet hearty, treats.
My Beet and Mango Salad with Walnuts is a a fusion of savoury and sweet flavours, enhanced with a flavourful dressing.
We’ve also been enjoying Pasta Primavera al Limone and this light and palate pleasing dessert.
My Raspberry and Rose Jelly and Cream is a great way to make an everyday dessert extra special without a lot of time or effort. I also share a little family history, and discuss why you should let your best crystal and china out of the cupboard so you can enjoy them!

We traveled south for vacation last week, and then came home to find our crocuses were in bloom! Win. Win.
I adore crocus, Michele! I remember reading an Easter book about a rabbit called Trader Bunny when I was little. There were purple crocus in it, and I’ve loved them ever since. I’m glad you had a nice vacation in the lovely weather!
How exciting for the country! A new royal baby, then a new royal wedding to follow. So much happening. Enjoy it all, April. Hope the warm weather returns soon. It seems we have the same pattern. From flurries to summer in a week, then back to spring. 🙂 Blessings.
