It’s time once again for the Hearth and Soul Link Party. Welcome! This week I’m thinking a lot about wellness and self care. On Friday, I attended Smart Talks: Wellness, a health and wellness event that benefitted Smart Works. There were panel discussions, break out sessions with some of the panel members and lots of really interesting new products and information in the wellness and self care sector. From Pilates, Yoga, Life Coaching, Ayurveda, Yoga, Nutritional Science, Meditation and more, there was definitely something for everyone. I learned a lot, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Whether your blog posts are old or new, as long as they are about things that feed the soul, they are welcome here at The Hearth and Soul Link Party! Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
What’s Happening
While January may have seemed like a long month, it certainly is flying by! How are things in your corner of the world?
Last week on the blog I featured a deliciously easy fish dish.
My Cod with Chickpeas in a Mediterranean Ragu is deliciously fresh and healthy, and perfect if you are thinking about wellness and self care. It’s so quick to make that it’s perfect for any night of the week. I love making it when I’m entertaining as it means less time in the kitchen and more time with my guests. You can double or triple the recipe really easily.
Last week #LibraryShelfieDay was trending on Twitter so I shared the photographs I took at Trinity College, Dublin, on our visit there a few years ago.
If you’d like to learn more about our trip to Dublin and see more photographs of this amazing library be sure to check out my post A Day in Dublin – Things to See and Do.
Thank you all for visiting and sharing last week!

April,
I love this week’s focus on self care and wellness. It’s so important, yet as mothers and wives we often put ourselves last. Sounds like a wonderful workshop. Thanks for another great week at the Heath and Soul Link Party.
April Harris says
I’m so glad it resonates with you, Judee. I agree, it’s important to remember we need to put ourselves first, not last. “You can’t give from an empty cup.” Thank you so much for being a part of Hearth and Soul. Have a lovely week, and be sure to fit in some self care too!

I took some pictures for #LibraryShelfieDay too. My pictures of my home shelves didn’t look near as cool as yours at Dublin though! 🙂
April Harris says
My home shelves don’t look anything like the Dublin ones either, Lisa, that is for sure! I do love photographs of library shelves though. I’m such a bookworm, I just need more time to read!

The older one gets the more important self-care is for good health and peace of mind. I like meditation/prayer and taking a walk every day and keeping a gratitude journal.
Your cod looks delicious! It’s my husband’s favorite fish.

This is so true, Pat. It is very important to look after yourself, and I agree that prayer/meditation, walking and a gratitude journal are wonderful ways to do it. I’m glad you like the cod, thank you! It’s one of my favourite fish as well. I hope to go back to the Trinity College library one day. I’m glad you were able to visit!
