Come the cold weather, I’m all about comfort. If you are like me, you will love these 5 Winter Beauty Favorites. All five are products I have been using for years, all of them are luxurious, and in my experience, they really work.
Beauty Favorites – Skin, Eyes and Lips
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a gentle, rice based exfoliant that activates on contact with water and is suitable for even my very sensitive skin. It contains no artificial fragrances or colours and has an immediate smoothing and brightening effect. This is a product I have been using for over five years and can highly recommend.
I’ve been using Prevage products on the delicate skin around my eyes for over seven years now. Prevage Anti-Aging + Intensive Repair Eye Serum is the latest incarnation of their very popular eye serum. It can be used on the eyelid as well as the delicate skin around the eyes. In my experience, it really does help fight lines and wrinkles. I particularly like how it keeps my eyelids smooth and has diminished the dark circles under my eyes.
Cooler temperatures can dry out your lips really quickly. I love L’Occitane Rose Lip Balm because it feels gorgeously moist, is lightly scented with roses and gives my lips a lovely light pink flush. It looks like a light pink lip gloss on application but this but Rose Lip Balm is actually a great moisturiser and protector for your lips. It contains 5% shea butter to help nourish and comfort.
Beauty Favorites – Feet and Hands
I walk a lot and my feet always seem to be dry, despite regular pedicures. Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream really moisturises and keeps even my super dry, cracked heels in great condition. Containing arnica extract to help relieve fatigue and swelling, it also smells dreamy so it is a real pleasure to apply. I just slather it on before I put my socks on in the morning. My feet have been transformed from dry and sore to comfortable and soft.
Crème de la Mer’s Hand Treatment is a real splurge but it’s one of the best hand creams I have ever used. A little goes a long way and it lasts for ages. As well as Crème de la Mer’s trademark Miracle Broth, the hand treatment also contains a complex that helps diminish age spots. My skin is very sensitive and the tips of my fingers often crack and bleed with the cold weather but not when I use The Hand Treatment. It keeps my hands soft and my nails strong even in the coldest weather.
All five of my winter beauty favorites are pampering, nourishing and comforting – real champions in my beauty arsenal. Be sure to take extra good care of yourself during the cooler months so your skin will feel great and be in great condition all year long.

I’ve definitely noticed my lips are far drier than usual this winter. I’m going to save your Rose Lip Balm recommendation: thanks!
It really does work well and I love using it, Pauline 🙂
I always love reading about beauty products 🙂

I hope you love it as much as I do, Marina! It really is lovely 🙂
Great list! I’m interested in trying out the L’Occitane Rose Lip Balm. I always battle with dry lips & the winter is the worst for it. I love the smell of roses and a touch of color isn’t bad either.
Thank you, Jess! I hope you love the lip balm as much as I do!
We’ve been lucky in that it hasn’t dried out here yet. But being in Iowa, we have to stock up on stuff like this every year!
Extremes of temperature really can play havoc with skin, and these are products I really trust to help!
Great list! I know my skin requires extra help during the harsh cold winter weather. I’ve heard good things about Dermalogica however I’ve yet to give it a go.
Thank you, Cathi. Dermalogica is a really good line, with a great selection of products.
Thanks for the ideas! I’m a huge fan of L’Occitane, will have to check out the Rose Lip Balm!
It’s a pleasure, Barb! I love L’Occitane too 🙂
I actually really want to try the sock trick before bed. But I don’t want tons of dirty socks so I haven’t done it yet LOL.
I know what you mean, Val. Actually, I’ve started putting the cream on before I put socks on in the morning sometimes (maybe just use a bit less than you would at night). It works too 🙂
