We are celebrating the harvest at this week’s Hearth and Soul Link Party! Welcome! I’m featuring recipes, crafts and to help you make the most of this beautiful, bountiful time of year.
Blog posts about anything that feeds the soul are welcome at The Hearth and Soul Link Party. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement. Basically, anything family friendly that feeds your soul, inspires, nurtures or brings contentment is great!
I’m making the most of fall’s bounty in my kitchen with this delicious quick bread.
My Sweet Potato Bread is perfect for breakfast or a snack, sliced and served just as it is or spread with fresh butter. It’s also a great way to use up leftover sweet potatoes. Having said that, I often cook sweet potatoes just to make it. It’s that good!
Although fish is often looked on as a lighter option, this recipe is one of my go-to comfort food recipes for any season.
My Cod with Mushroom and Spinach Sauce is still deliciously light, but creamy and hearty too.
Celebrating the Harvest Features
We’ve created a fantastic community here at Hearth and Soul, and I’m so grateful you are a part of it! Thank you to everyone who visited and shared last week.
This week’s features (from left to right, clockwise) include:
Enjoy the flavours of the season in these Apple Corn Muffins from Marilyn’s Treats
Be inspired to decorate for fall by beautiful Gold and Pastels for My Fall Mantle from Penny’s Vintage Home
Zucchini and summer squash are both plentiful this time of year, and delicious in this Healthy, Simple Italian Summer Squash Casserole from Robin at Fluster Buster
Use this year’s harvest to get ahead for next years planting with How to Save Tomato Seeds from Your Garden from Kathi at Oak Hill Homestead
Save fall’s bounty so you can enjoy it all year round with How I Make Apple Sauce from Aunt B on a Budget

Hi April,
Your website is fantastic! I enjoy your link party and I wanted to invite you to join the very first link party on my blog this Friday evening at 8 p.m. EST (that might be middle of the night there?!). My blog is just less than a year old at https://www.b4andafters.com.
Thanks for your consideration!

Hi Liberty! I’m sorry the contact form is not behaving. I appreciate the heads up! I have removed the contact form, and updated my contact page. You can always contact me on april@apriljharris.com. Thank you so much for the invitation. You are right, that is the middle of the night for me, but I will try to pop in first thing on Saturday morning if I get a chance. I am away this weekend though, so I may have to wait until the second edition of your party next week. Good luck with it all, and I hope it goes well!

I thought I’d get to come back late yesterday and add another post to the linkup but it was not to be. Next week! This week I linked up Holy Cow Pizza! Gluten-Free Pizza Worth Having Every Night. I think that many will be surprised to learn the secret/key ingredient in this recipe.
I also want to thank you for featuring my gluten-free apple recipes roundup last week. I can’t remember if I did that but I really appreciate it, April!
Hope your week is going well! Thanks for hosting as always!
