Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week I’m thinking about expanding our horizons. My word for the year is ‘expand’ and I’m looking to do this in terms of my experience, learning and reaching out to others.
It’s easy to get in a rut, particularly during a cold, snowy or rainy February, but trying something new and different really can make a difference. I hope this week’s features will inspire you.
At Hearth and Soul, blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
What’s Been Happening
InLinkz are still making adjustments to how the Linky presents itself (not all of which I am pleased with!). The style has been updated again, and they appear to have fixed the login bug. I regret that they have made logging in obligatory, but unfortunately they don’t seem to be budging on that. Switching to another platform would mean I would have to have two concurrent subscriptions to two link up platforms in order to keep the old link parties working. The other link up platforms have issues as well, so InLinkz is kind very much the devil I know!
On a more positive note,
Valentine’s Day may be over, but these citrus flavoured St Clement’s Custards still make a wonderful dessert. You can make them in any shape serving dishes!
I’m sharing tips on How To Keep The Romance Alive all year round, and I’ve got a muffin recipe that is lower in sugar, but still a real treat.
My Banana Streusel Muffins with Flaxseed are the perfect balance between naughty and nice!

Hi April,
I think we will all like the new linky format when we get on to it, most of us resist change, I know I sure do. Hope you are having a good week and thanks so much for the party!

Dear April, I did have a problem at the Hearth and Soul link party since last week, due to the compulsory login I have to do; and at this time, I do not plan to register an account with them. So I am still figuring out what to do in the future if I want to share with Hearth and Soul.

Thank you so much for letting me know! I am dismayed that InLinkz are insisting on a login, although I have found out that it does not enable them to do much more than before. They were already harvesting names and email addresses when we ticked the terms and conditions box! They can’t contact us without permission though. It is of course your decision. I’m really sorry about what they have done. Best wishes!
