Hello and welcome to the February edition of The Hearth and Soul Link Party!
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes family-friendly blog posts about anything to feed the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
The party is now held monthly, opening on the first Sunday of every month. The party will remain open until the 25th of the month, or until 300 entries are reached.
Please continue to visit and share throughout the month. I will visit as many posts as I can, and share your content across my social media platforms.

What’s Been Happening?
Happy February!
Although Covid cases are still relatively high, restrictions have been almost entirely relaxed here, so it’s almost back to normal. We’ve had a few really lovely dinners out and get-togethers with friends and family as well. When I think where we were this time last year I am so very grateful.
I’ve been doing lots of research and writing my book this month – the aim is to finish the manuscript this year. I’m also working behind the scenes to get this website and blog ready for its redesign in March. It’s an exciting time! The blog will be easier to navigate and there’s lots of new lifestyle content and recipes coming soon too.

Feeling a bit jaded and worn out? I’m sharing why I think You Are Beautiful Just As You Are to encourage you.
This healthier muffin recipe – that tastes like Oatmeal Raisin Cookies – was just one of the recipes I shared this month.
My Banana Oatmeal Raisin Muffins are easy to make and you can freeze them too.
Thank you all for visiting and sharing your wonderful content!

Sounds like a busy month for you! Unfortunately our Covid numbers are up here in TN. Some businesses ask people to wear masks but don’t require them.
April Harris says
I’m sorry your numbers are up in TN, Barbara. Our numbers are not all that good either, sadly. We are in a similar situation with masks, some businesses ask for them but they are not required by law. Take care and I hope things improve soon.

April, thank you for hosting. Especially during such a busy time for you. My Naan – Classic Yeasted Flatbread of India and Beyond is the 6th link today. Can’t imagine how you’re going to improve the blog’s current design, but I’m looking forward to seeing your redesign next month.

April, thank you for hosting! I’m happy to hear things are returning to normal for you. I shared one of my current posts, Gluten Free Italian Wedding Soup. The recipe is a sentimental nod to my grandmother’s kitchen, some 60 years ago. Hope you enjoy.

You know how I love family recipes, Leslie! I look forward to your recipe! Take care and have a lovely week.

Hi April
How exciting to be in the process of writing a book, and also to plan a blog make-over. I’ve contemplated a new blog look but don;t have the time to invest in doing all the work myself right now as I have many other home projects to catch up on. I look forward to seeing your new format.
April Harris says
Hi Pat.
Thank you, it really is.
I totally understand what you mean about time. I am working with Laura of Pixel Me Designs for the actual redesign as I don’t have the time or experience to do that sort of thing myself. That said, I do need to go through and do some editing before Laura gets started. Although I only have about 11 of my 20 years worth of content on this blog, I still need to go through and decide what we are going to move over to the new blog, what needs to be updated and what just needs to go as it’s out of date 🙂 Only 1000 more posts to go! 😳
Take care and have a lovely week.

HI April–Thanks for hosting! I’m most intrigued by your book! Good luck on everything with it!
As far as the highlights, I can never resist a heart wreath! Valentine’s Day is one of my faves.
I’ve linked up my own homemade Nutella recipe and an updated collection of homemade recipes, even a nut-free one. I love that there are options for everyone. 🙂
I’ve also linked up a new version of my gluten-free carrot cake recipe roundup. One can’t have too many choices when it comes to amazing carrot cakes. 😉
Have a great week!
