Hello and welcome to The Hearth and Soul Link Party! This week it’s all about ideas for the holidays – from recipes and crafts, to DIY, decorating and more!
Blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome here at Hearth and Soul. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
How is your holiday season going? Are you getting excited for Christmas? I was very excited last week to hear that I’ve been included in BrandBallot listing of the Top 150 Food Blogs of 2018! Thank you to BrandBallot for including me in this list amongst so many great blogs that I really admire.
Have you started to celebrate the holidays? My husband and I hosted our annual Cocktail Party for friends and neighbours last week. We look forward to it every year.
Check out my blog post, Holiday Entertaining Without Stress, for ideas and tips on how you can make holiday parties easier and more fun for you as well as your guests.
I’ve finally got all the decorating done but I’ve still got lots of cards to write and presents to wrap. Of course, the reason for the season is much more than gifts and cards, but if you are struggling with holiday shopping, I may be able to help!
In How to Make Holiday Shopping Easy I share techniques that I’ve developed over the years to help make this yearly task (almost) stress free, as well as some great gift ideas you may not have considered.
One of the recipes I love to make this time of year is this easy but impressive salad.
This Crab and Shrimp Salad makes a lovely light appetizer or lunch, but you can also serve this recipe on crackers or blinis to make delicious canapés.
